likely, but due to the way the us is set up what with the whole checks and balances thing, they wouldn’t be able to introduce any sort of radical change.
I just want to point out that, no, this type of inflated CEO salary does NOT go hand-in-hand with business or with free markets.
It’s largely a U.S. problem.
Things are not this way in Japan, for example, where CEO salaries are much closer to those of the average worker.

hot damn, that sounds great. japan really does have the more ethical workers, doesn’t it? (i mean, despite their own issue of massive overworking) even iwata cut his own pay to make sure his dudes aren’t getting fired.

NOTHING stops from people from leaving if they aren’t happy. Many choose to work there even knowing that the pay is peanuts.

This is literally every company. No it isn’t okay, but it is pathetic to act surprised by it.
CEOs don’t need that kind of compensation. Pay them minimum wage and give the actual content creators the millions instead.
Probably not gonna happen, blizz really likes kotick, they even gave him his own npc named Gallywix in-game.

The 1800s and early 1900s were for sure a utopia of capitalism where everyone was so happy to work, they’d work themselves to death. Working was so fun that even children would avoid going to school to work in factories.

It got so fun at one point even a dog wanted to be apart of the work, and worked at Hoover Dam construction, till he became part of the foundation of hard work. Literally. I think that’s when they started to dial back the fun.
