So @ Blizzard- Be honest and transparent with your customers - Is Xmog next?

I don’t want to see it happen, but you guys seem to be going crazy with turning women into fruits and making sure everything that could be considered a bit harsh taken out the game: So no tricks or surprise post in two weeks or a month: Is Trangsmog on your next list of “things that might offend?” I really would love a mod or blizzard rep see this and answer transparently and honestly.

That is against their programming.

More communication would really help people understand their intentions and how far they plan to take this. Right now all they are doing is playing whack-a-mole, and it’s pissing people off.

Ain’t that the truth

Doubtful. That’s our choice and they just gave us skimpy Kyrian outfits, along with hide chestpiece.

To add on to this, the more this goes on, the more and more this feels like it’s someone’s dumb personal crusade. Someone at Blizzard is going ham on stuff, and there’s no transparency or reasoning why, other than the one tweet which came out from Jeremy Feasel about how he had been aiming to tackle toxicity within the game.

None of this is about toxicity though. Absolutely nothing going on here is about toxicity. If someone emotes something dumb at you, ignore 'em. If someone says something you do not like, ignore 'em. Ignore is the solution. We have had the tools to deal with people since the inception of the game, and now we’re baby proofing the house to such an extent that by the time they’re done, everything and anything will be covered in bubble wrap.

Like please, friggin’ say something. Explain to us the thought process.

Exactly, and that makes the people conducting said personal crusade opportunists, just like the very people who committed the original acts which landed the company in the situation it’s in.

Because of that, how can anyone believe them when they say “We’ve changed”? Nothing changed. Just who is bullying and calling the shots. Same vitriol and command structure otherwise. The Capos changing, doesn’t mean the organization itself did. There is still a boss who is signing off on doing bad things at the expense of others.

This is reinforced by ignoring the company rules and allowing some NPCs because they reference a woman, while broadly removing all male NPC references. You don’t get it both ways. You do it right, and in a manner that is equal across the board; or you pay the price with players abandoning you because of the inequality and hypocrisy.

They gave us void elves and they took away the authenticity from them. They refuse to add more void options for those who enjoy for who they truly are. Blizz is known for giving and than take away now.

I expect them to remove war paint and tattoos from us so they have an excuse not to give us skimpy mogs.

Looking at my month left on sub, no 1.5 release…magic 8 ball says no.

They will try to keep people like on for that 1 more block of 6 month time…

Not gonna work for me as I am already in mod heaven in sp games so this won’t affect me. But they will see who they get for more blocks till this happens.

More logicial place for me really. When I have jsut tested a new weapon in Diamond city and have killed 75% of the place, now hunting down that last 14% (the kids and the 2 doctors are essential, not killable) I hear the diamond city guards call my female char a crazy bad word that begins with B

And I go yeah…I deserve that.

As I launch off another grenade launcher mirv grenade that carpet bombs a place and gets me 3 more kills.

That will never happen.

The explanation is simple:
A dev who was responsible for doing “things” related to the lawsuit is feeling an overwhelming sense of guilt and/or shame, so he is pushing all these changes which “protect” women in an effort to “make up” for all the bad things he did, or he is making all these changes in an effort to make himself look better by “proving” he has “changed.”

It’s the most common reason whenever you see someone suddenly start virtue signaling hard online. It’s also the reason why you will never see an official answer as to why they are doing this aside from possibly a generic “these changes prevent toxicity” which doesn’t delve into how exactly the things that were changed were facilitating “toxicity.”

Yes, transmog is next. It is inevitable. That change will also be the one change which will drive away a massive amount of players, possibly killing off the game for real. Nobody wants to play a game where you can’t be a scantily-clad leather daddy or an Amazonian dommy mommy. The instant the transmogs are touched, a huge portion of the playerbase will quit and never return. Also, Blizzard will permanently have a reputation as a regressive, puritanical, and “woke” company, which will repel new players.

I do feel like hitting xmog like that would actually be the end for wow, People play games so they can do things they wouldn’t be able to do, some people use transmog to express themselves albeit virtually, I feel like them censoring transmog would definitely be the reason for an even bigger sub drop than recently.

More transparent and direct impossible.

The axe is there, for all to see. Nothing is “hidden”.

Just get over it already.

This is your weird interpretation, not proof of removing choice from us.

Going to be honest, I was worried about this before, but they added male counterparts to a few areas of the game rather than removed them. Which I think is actually a positive change, rather than just purging things. I doubt therefore that they’ll touch transmog at all, if they keep going the ‘let’s add things to be fair’ route. Meaning HOPEFULLY succubus is fine, and rather incubus is on the radar.

The truth of the matter is that, love them or hate them, smog options are options, and as such are empowering and respectful to women because it gives them the choice of how they want to dress. If you remove sexy transmog options or else diminish them, then you are disrespecting women, albeit passively, by removing a portion of their power and forcing them to dress as you want them to.

I think clearer heads will prevail when it comes to smogs. I don’t believe they’ll be going anywhere. It all comes down to what is forced and what is a choice. Choice… is important. There is nothing more ‘woke’ than choice.

I feel the Transmogs are next to be censored. Thats why i’m leaving the game now. If they can censor emote they will censor transmog.

They will do it too. People think they won’t but they will just wait.

Will you promise to stay if I bribe you with, say, some sticky buns? How about some of these delicious gnome treats. I know you’re not a gnome, but gnomes love 'em… so maybe they’ll make you feel more gnomish!

*tosses you a gnome treat…

:yum: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Well in that case maby I will haha.
