So are M+ players screwed?

I would be fine with that reward system. Much better than it currently is and would give me a reason to do something higher than a 10.

You have a reason to do something higher already.

You just don’t wanna do it.

The only reason is for achievements and I could care less about them. I want cool mounts, Tmog or upgrades.

You realise that most people who are doing keys past 15 are doing it for the challenge right?

Considering how much easier a 10 is if we just wanted gear we’d only spam them and armour stack.

You get rank 4 essence for 15s.

Although I wouldn’t mind in game rewards for 20s. I’m oerfectly happy with doing them for the challenge alone.

And in game rating system wouldn’t hurt tho

Here’s your problem. They found out you have an unapproved community. They don’t like it when players spontaneously form communities, because usually it has to do with those players’ interests rather than what the devs want them to be interested in.

They will go to any length to destroy spontaneous player communities.

Welcome to the club.

They created this community with the MDI. You make no sense

Yes, Gear does matter. However IMO 90% of the player base doesn’t really bother to look at gear all that close. They mainly look at raw Item Level and move on which is horribly bad. If anyone wants to be a Mythic Raider or push high Mythic + keys they really need to Min/Max constantly. On my DH, I was simming 50k at 429 ilvl and now at 433 I’m hitting a little over 53k. I see people all the time sitting between 440-445 and Simming at 40k’ish and only pulling mid 30k’s. If they would take the time and work on the right gear with the best stat allocations they would gain huge jumps in dmg.

Hell half the people I talk with are still going off of stat weights and build guides that were written at the launch of BFA. And 9 out of 10 times they get so defensive when I try and point out that need to make some serious changes if they want to stay relivent and not be a liability to the raid team.

There needs to be way less RNG with the gear. I truely hate WF/TF/Sockets etc. My very first weekly chest I got a 415 ilvl Cursed Lover’s Ring with a socket. I can not replace that ring Unless I get the BiS 445+ with a socket. Take a look at these droptimizer reports for my character. Replace the * with a . at the * com and take the space out at the // www since I can not post links.
https:// www.raidbots * com/simbot/report/s7behZw5FzJpQjC1jMMyMd and
https:// www.raidbots * com/simbot/report/47jtHy7iWdNs6U8dKrgnyg

Those are Droptimizer reports for my character for Mythic EP and M+ without any WF/TF selected. Even a 445 Cursed Lover’s Ring is a -49 dps loss without a socket. Trust no one would be using the ring I have unless they run the sims and see everyting else is a dps loss. WF/TF has literally killed any progression on my DH, unless I get a insane WF/TF with a Socket there are no upgrades at all I’ve have been stuck at 433 Ilvl since the 2nd week roughly of EP.

I refuse to take a item with higer Ilvl to simply lose or keep the identical DPS. I’m setting around 375k hp with my current gear in raid. So taking something for more stamina is out as well since I’m not dying to fight mechanics.

Most people do just that, spam 10’s. Pretty sure everyone pushing keys has done the same while gearing up?

My problem is that +10 rewards are too good for the difficulty and it makes heroic and normal raiding feel unrewarding. if Humanity’s system was implemented I would be perfectly happy with M+ and would become more interested in it myself.

I really think they need to reward people finishing +10’s less and the people pushing higher keys more.

I’m pretty sure they are going to change how that works now that TF/WF is removed. I think the reason it was considered TF?WF was because they did not want to add more work by creating 440 versions of that gear.

Yeah but Azerite is going to be deleted after BFA. If not for that I would have done my +15’s as the beam is pretty nice, just not to the point where I’m going out of my way for it when they plan on deleting it.

An In game rating system would also interest me.

They didn’t create the community. They created a content you were supposed to spam. You created the community.

If you don’t recognize this as what happened, maybe it hasn’t happened to you. Yet.

But 3 times during BfA I have belonged to vibrant communities that were destroyed by Blizzard because they thought we were playing the game wrong.

Communities of people who met regularly and played together multiple times daily because of their shared interests.

Do you know what it’s like to lose your friends because they quit because of changes that now make playing as they did no longer viable or pointless? No? Lucky you.

Investing blood, sweat, and tears into characters that are now pointless to play.

Three times.

I’ve never done a mythic raid, let alone an M+. I used to do LFR, but I don’t even bother with that anymore. All I do -ever- is unlock allied races, get heritage armor, level alts, fish, farm mounts on old raid bosses, and do legacy raids solo.

I have maximum fun and minimal stress.

There are many ways to enjoy this wonderful game of ours.

Tbh if they at hitting 75% of a patchwerk sim (which most idiots consider the gospel, even though none of the current fights come close to patchwerk style) thats pretty solid.

Congratulations, you have half a brain.

We aren’t talking about raids, we are talking m+. At best you’d have 345k hp if you used a scroll and DIDN’T have a priest in M+.

You still can rng farm. That’s what you don’t understand. You still can farm full corrupting gear probably faster than any raider that don’t want to overly farm m+. And you still get your weekly chest for comparable mythic gear, so over time you will catchup. But if you want mythic raiding gear, m+ won’t be anymore a way to farm it by spamming 100s of M+ because of how obscene the loot is given without lockout and even by failing. So you still have a lot of “meaningful” content to do for a long time.

And there’s tons of things to do in the game, each of them needs a reason to be done, I know people might think this is debatable but this is just gaming 101. It just happens that mythic raiding needs the best loot because of how it works and it still had the best loot before corrupting with titanforging. And people that had the best gear mostly did atleast 3-4 of the first mythic bosses.

What it will do now is that more people that do M+ hardcore will be incentivized to do mythic raiding. Yes people can quit, but at this point that’s not really an argument, people quit for many reasons and BFA has given many.

Why do people keep saying this garbage? First off, it rewards heroic loot which is way easier then any 15 i have done in M+. Second if you’re referring to the 440 chest, i think i literally got 1 whole item that i could use out of there in how long? Third, wf/tf was so rare, and many times when you got it, it was garbage for your spec.

People need to stop saying this nonsense because it has and has never been true, NEVER

This right here are facts. I use to raid mythic have gotten some cutting edge in the past, raided for a very long time but i don’t have that time commitment any longer and now i generally just do M+ but i don’t spam it, i probably do 5-10 a week tops, but i can do that when i have time. Raiding, i have no choice but to commit to a guild and need to be there 90% of the time to not lose my spot. M+ is perfect for people that just don’t have that time commitment any longer.

As stated, they will lose tons of subs if we are stuck on keys between 10-15 because of gear, hopefully they figure something out, because as of now, higher keys will belong to only Mythic raiders.

lmao

Or we can just bring back vendors and get rid of this crap system we have currently.

thats how most of them do it.

To the OP. Well said my friend.

+1

This really is an apples to oranges comparison. From +2 to +15 keys sure, outside of that you need just as much coordination as a raid team, and each player must do their job whereas in a raid you can always have 1 or 2 not pulling their weight.

What causes the most confusion for players like you is having the understand the difference between scaling difficulties vs. fixed difficulties.
