Not gonna attack your credibility but he has a point, maybe the guy is not as good as you claim to be but at least he has shown you something. If you’re gonna discredit someone with nothing to back it up, it looks more like you don’t raid or only raid lfr. Again, not saying you’re not telling the truth but it’s also not right to fire off superiority with nothing to show, just saying.
Seems like a step in the right direction to me. Keep raids with the best gear and side activities like M+ irrelevant except to those that really like to do them. I thought you kids like to say you “just like the challenge” but the second it stops giving you easy gear you can pay any random to boost you through, it’s dead. Doesn’t add up friend.
He lectured how mythic guilds work by talking about split raids, a practice done by possibly less than 5 guilds in the entire world. He has 0 mythic kills, he can’t even consistently get aotc. It doesn’t actually matter anything what I do. That guy is a trashcan. Asking me to show something is just a distraction and will not change the fact that the things he says is wrong.
Everything you’re saying is exactly what I mean. Mythic takes much more effort because of the attendance/recruiting issues, required utility classes, ranged/melee stacking, providing consumables, managing loot etc. Many guilds have people who run dual specs, have multiple alts, have a big roster with a decent sized bench, and commit even more time to providing for the guild outside of raids. This is on top of having to raid for 3-4 hours 2-3 times a week, on top of doing all the other “busy” azerite and essence crap Blizzard has us doing. Not to mention, at least one +10 key is required during early prog because of how easy they are and how important the high ilvl piece and residuum are. This is a huge commitment to the game, and running a key just isn’t comparable.
A huge commitment deserves some incentive. People do enjoy playing their class and raiding for fun, but the amount of effort it takes to maintain a mythic group should be rewarded. We all have to be decent players who have the same holes in our schedules while also being on the same realm.
Do you not see the hundreds of threads on this forum complaining about raider io? There are also complaints about the timer, the awful class balance, the awful affix balance, the annoying amount of trash in dungeons etc… It’s really not enjoyable for everyone. I believe a big part of why m+ is so “popular” is because of the amount of gear it can reward. We both know that casuals are not good at this game, but they want as much gear as they can get with little effort and time. It is much easier to fail a +10 key for 6 weeks than find a mythic guild todown a mythic boss.
The rest of your post I agree with though. People who push high keys should definitely be rewarded in some way that won’t affect mythic raiding and the loot we receive from it.
