Maybe people really do want to watch Netflix as they sign up for a key, not actually play, because they aren’t needed for success anyway. The mighty tank can do it all.
I just want to be able to run dungeons at a sensible pace, none of this Benny Hill crap, I miss the old heroics and the focus on speed over everything else just turns me off.
I know that isn’t going away so I don’t tank that content, I’ll do the timewalking for the quest but I do not enjoy it in the slightest
I think a better solution is reduce mob melee damage by 99.9%, then we don’t need tanks.
They don’t want to need to push buttons to live, and I think immortality just by playing a role is unfair. Plus, what’s the benefit of finding anyone suitable, just so you can push buttons yourself?
At least, if dps or healers fail, there’s some way to recover.
Or maybe, we should have 2 healers /3 dps per dungeon.

Followed by the appeal to authority, “well in the world tippy top keys it’s not a problem, not the 99.7% keys you did, the 99.95% keys at least”. Finished up with ad absurdum, “tanks want to be invincible” or “tanks should even exist”
Tanks even in mid tier keys and still playing with champion and 4/6 hero track gear need to accept that pulling fresh is a death sentence and go in with a defensive up from the get go. Damage mitigation defensives are at their strongest the more HP you have too where a lot of tanks tend to panic pop them when they get low and often too low for it to help.
For bears this is Rage of the Sleeper if doing a big multi pack pull which is pretty standard for most keys at the start. Bears want the increased DPS and damage mitigation ROTS gives and then a strong defensive once the pull is in place. You also should be shapeshifting into bear on a pull to start with the extra rage.
Bears (or any tank) being dumb and not respecting fortified trash deserves the deaths coming to them. I would even dare say in literally every key, I fear trash WAY more than I fear any particular boss. In fact bosses generally are my time to relax a touch. I have to be on super high alert to do trash though.
