Better we remove tanks from the game, and everyone can pull. Multiple people deriving a benefit from being familiar with the dungeon is a plus. Makes for more engaging gameplay, and removes the need for a bossy immortal.
If tanks are pulling too little, I am pulling or bailing or both.
This isn’t an issue for anything that’s part of the actual game. lol TW’ing doesn’t bend to the rules of end game balance. But do go on, because that’s not at all what he’s talking about lol
Rich lol
You may want to go find a corner to sit in. This isn’t the discussion being had lol
That’s exactly what’s said. Would you like me to show you?
Meaning his damage / CC / stops / mitigation being the factors. Meaning all others are just there to make things die faster because he wants to be immortal. He can’t handle the idea of pulling like its a timewalking dungeon any more.
Problem is, this early in the expansion we don’t have all the secondary stats hitting their soft caps yet. Yes Vers is good and strong, but when it comes to timing keys at those levels, your best defense is a strong offense.
DPS have limited numbers of DR’s, so the mobs need to die before you run out. Therefor optimizing dps (even for tanks) is the go to play
That is not what was said. Kaercha is saying the abilities of the tank should determine any given pull. That is exactly how it should be. It has nothing to do with “being immortal”, another thing you made up, and yes, the job of DPS is solely to kill things and help interrupt casts. DPS should NEVER pull.
What’s even funnier, is Kaercha is arguing that he is having to pull back on how much he pulls because DPS and heals can’t keep up. Dude doesn’t want to be “invincible”, he just wants to be able to move through the content at the pace he sets but others hold him back. So you’re not even addressing what is being said at all, you’re just creating arguments out of thin air.
That’s already how it is. He said he wants to be immortal so he can pull 30 mobs at a time. Instead he’s limited and he doesn’t like that.
This isn’t what the conversation is about.
That’s not what he’s saying. He’s saying he can’t make the pulls he wants (that would involve god mode) because he has to rely on others to make it happen, and if they can’t do what they need to in that given scenario then it fails and he goes splat and he doesn’t like that.
He pretty much wants to be invincible so he can do boss to boss pulls and not rely on anyone else.
Coming from the guy who thinks this is a conversation about having DPS pull for tanks? LOL
I started playing wow back in vanilla as a healer. Did that through vanilla and tbc. I was on a small server but even then i struggled to find good tanks. My criteria for good is 2x - plays well, and is courteous/polite/generally positive
By the time i got to MoP i swapped to tank and thats all i do. Ive never actually played dps in pve all these years. Either healed or tanked. I love em both. I found tanks to be few and far between and at least on my rpvp server the ones i knew were difficult to get along with.
Nowadays i tank a lot of m+. i just try to be positive and add positive people to my friends list. What ive noticed is that a lot of the good dps i befriend (they actually interrupt and dont stand in fire) the really good ones, half of em also tank. Or heal. Idk. My experience is fun, i really enjoy m+ and pugging although premade teams tend to be my favorite but i do that maybe 10% of the time.
If you need a tank friend, holla
That’s not how it is. Too many people affect the pulls, this is not news. Just as Kaercha has stated, he’s having to slow down for his pugs because, although he is capable of going faster, the groups can’t keep up. He never once said anything about being immortal, that is all you.
And for many tanks, the problem is the opposite, the rest of the group tries to move too fast and the tank can’t keep up. That is the most common problem in the game today.
Do you even know what it’s about? Whether it’s DPS and heals being unable to keep up, or it’s DPS and heals pulling, it’s all the same in that THE TANK SETS THE PACE. That is the discussion.
Scroll up you moron, that’s EXACTLY what he said. Dude never said he wants to be invincible. That’s you doing your crap again.
Again, learn how to read and understand what is being said. You’re currently not qualified to take part in these discussions based on solely on your lack of understanding.
99.7 percentile. Not special. And also irrelevant, so it’s weird that he wants to harp on it. Like my cousin is 5’4” and always wants to point out that 6’1” “isn’t tall” every time he sees me.
What I find fascinating is that the regular forum trolls never troll each other. That implies that there’s some level of coordination there. I wonder how deep that goes?
I’m not the best player, but I feel tanks are way too squishy in lower keys especially if you get tanks that aren’t super geared. I’m seeing 610 guardian Druids get globalled by smash trash pulls. Like blizzard is failing casuals so hard
