So that was a lie. 2 weeks is not nearly long enough, as someone whose chose to be one of the shamans in the guild on ally side I’m pretty much either going to have to no life the game 10 hours a day to make it in time or not be ready to raid and fall behind the guild.
During Blizzconline we were told there would be an extended pre patch to give us time to level and now we get 2 weeks?
They explicitly said there would be an extended pre patch to give players time to level new races to enter the portal with their friends. That was their wording.
Easy solution: give all TBC servers a significant XP buff during pre-patch. Let everyone level whatever they want fast to prep. They’ve done it during pre-expansion events before. Not necessarily in that way, but for example, the Legion pre-expansion event allowed you to level insanely fast.
Pre-patch Legion (i think it was legion) i leveled a hunter from 1 to level cap in one night (west fall). Just tagged invasion mobs collected stuff needed to buy gear and i was ready for legion lol.
Technically, anything longer than a week is extended… I know, not arguing the main point that 2 weeks is pretty brutal for people intending to utilize that time… But if we are being technical, it is not wrong.
Was during the blizzcon roundtable event with Holly Longdale and the other 2 devs, go look it up, im not wasting my time going threw a 30 min video to find a 2 word quote.
I’m not going to look it up myself when I already watched it knowing they never said how long the prepatch was going to be. Otherwise people wouldn’t have been ASKING for an extended prepatch.
I would be more than happy if you proved me wrong, but I’m pretty sure you can’t.
