So about giving us time to level before the portal opened?

So that was a lie. 2 weeks is not nearly long enough, as someone whose chose to be one of the shamans in the guild on ally side I’m pretty much either going to have to no life the game 10 hours a day to make it in time or not be ready to raid and fall behind the guild.

During Blizzconline we were told there would be an extended pre patch to give us time to level and now we get 2 weeks?

We were told that they were available at prepatch we were never told it would be extended for this purpose.

They explicitly said there would be an extended pre patch to give players time to level new races to enter the portal with their friends. That was their wording.

Just buy gold and have some mage boost you in dungeons easy game

Easy solution: give all TBC servers a significant XP buff during pre-patch. Let everyone level whatever they want fast to prep. They’ve done it during pre-expansion events before. Not necessarily in that way, but for example, the Legion pre-expansion event allowed you to level insanely fast.

They don’t want you to have time to lvl, they want you to buy the boost.

Cant buy boost for Belfs or draenei. At least as of yet.

Ah didn’t know. Well they still want you to buy the boost.

Hey blues, how about you comment on your lies?

If you’re leveling a character for the guild have one of them boost you. Should be able to get 1-60 with boosting fairly easily

Pre-patch Legion (i think it was legion) i leveled a hunter from 1 to level cap in one night (west fall). Just tagged invasion mobs collected stuff needed to buy gear and i was ready for legion lol.

They may have, you mind linking me to it?

Hey, no need to stress over it…

I would not put it past blizzard to open up the boosts for Blood Elves and Draenai around the time of TBC Live Launch or very shortly after.

If/when they do, just boost one  - ezpz

Technically, anything longer than a week is extended… I know, not arguing the main point that 2 weeks is pretty brutal for people intending to utilize that time… But if we are being technical, it is not wrong.

Was during the blizzcon roundtable event with Holly Longdale and the other 2 devs, go look it up, im not wasting my time going threw a 30 min video to find a 2 word quote.

It was one of the discussions at blizzcon. The transcript is pasted into another topic.

We’re going to give players access

19:52

to blood elf and draenei early,

19:54

so that before we actually open the Dark Portal,

19:57

you’ll have a chance to level those up.

19:59

That’s definitely not something we did originally.

20:01

-(LAUGHS) -Yeah!

20:02

I remember, I had a friend who was really frustrated

20:04

that the rest of us were running around in Outland,

20:06

and he was like, “I’m still back in Wetlands.” Yeah.

20:09

LAUGHTER

20:10

-“What is going on?” -HOLLY: Yeah.

20:12

“When can I play with you guys?”

20:13

So yeah, I’m really glad we’re doing that.

20:14

-HOLLY: Yeah. -Is that pre-patch?

20:16

-Yeah, that’s the plan. -Very cool.

20:17

Pre-patch will come out and you’ll be able

20:19

to start your blood elves and draenei.

20:21

And then… content.

point to where they promised an extended pre-patch

I’m not going to look it up myself when I already watched it knowing they never said how long the prepatch was going to be. Otherwise people wouldn’t have been ASKING for an extended prepatch.

I would be more than happy if you proved me wrong, but I’m pretty sure you can’t.
