I’ll be the first one to say if anything, MM needs buffs in terms of survivability. They’re low/middle of the pack in rated. I get that.
But in any non-rated group content - wpvp/bgs - where they can sit back and pve mildly uninterrupted - the burst damage is ridiculous and unmatched.
Just today I was hit by a 600k Sniper Shot on my WW, with a 1 mil health pool.
Earlier too I was hit by a 400k Sniper Shot and 250k Aimed Shot from over 40 yds away in a bg and deleted in <1 second.
This ability is crazy overtuned, which is odd bc the tooltip says static 20% health.
As a fully geared priest with 42% vers I was hit with a 616k sniper shot today in Battle for Gilneas at water works. Took me from 100% to 49%. I died from 100% in 0.6 seconds when the other 2 sniper shots landed. That the most damage I’ve been hit for so far this season that did not involve modifiers from ToK orb or flag carrier debuff.
The other 2 sniper shots that hit me in this 0.6 seconds did 445k and 605k. So 1.66M damage from just the sniper shots. My poor angelic bulwark tried to do something but it was denied.
The first 2 sniper shots that landed within 0.3 seconds of eachother brought me to 9% hp from 1.2M. That’s insane. How do you react to dying in .6 seconds
Would have been funnier if the 616k and 605k snipers landed together. Would kill me in literally 2 hits. This is in the best gear and through 42% vers.
With modifiers. Sniper shot is pretty much a guaranteed one shot on TOK orb holders with stacks. And, that is without outside consumables. So, it’s that way in rated BGs/Blitz.
I’d want a hunter on my team for TOK matches alone. Have them play MM on TOK and FC maps and BM for node maps.
It should be hitting quite often over 400K with no berserker or consumables on high health players. It should be hitting over 500K with berserker. I’m not sure about berserker AND consumables as I don’t do random BGs.
edit: Your hunter has HEAVILY invested into Crit (34% PVE) and has very low Mastery (11% PVE). Sniper shot can’t crit, btw. So, that stat is entirely wasted when considering sniper shot damage.
Yes, my mastery is 26% (PVE) just for comparison. That’s the main problem with sniper shot. It scales with stats, so it ends up doing far more than 20% health.
Probably while in Camo too. I really think the tuning with hunters needs adjusting, but again, I guess a lot needs adjusting. I really don’t think hunters should have more than a 30 yard range on all abilities.
With the nonsense he’s saying I don’t think he’s worth responding to. I get hunters like sniper shotting fully pvp geared players for 50% of thier hp. I’m sure it’s a lot of fun!
