Since the new season started some of us have been reporting a bug that prevents us from listing keys in LFG.
I looked for threads on Reddit about this and I found one.
But in that thread people are saying that there was a change during season 3, and only people with cellphone SMS and authenticators can post keys now. Some say they were never able to list before that which is weird.
I’m confused. Do you think Blizzard is forcing SMS and authenticators on us?
You’re a bit late to the party friend.
No because this started 4 days ago. I have the physical authenticator and I was able to post keys all through season 3. Now it’s either not enough anymore and we need SNS on top of that, or it’s just a bug. I wish Blizz would say something, this is driving me nuts because I’ll need to find a different hobby if I can’t post my keys. It’s a major drawback.
This is what is required for making any kind of listing that isn’t using prefilled information.
So if you want a custom title, like “+15 need big pumpers” or whatever nonsense people put in you have to have both SMS and an Authenticator.
This has been in place for a while and if you were able to do so without both that was the bug.
What’s the issue here? 
As far as I know the SMS/authenticator thing was only for editing the title and adding comments (unless they stealth-changed it for S4)
I thought non-authenticator players could still list pug groups (minus being able to edit the title/comments)?
That’s the way it’s been for me for a while, yes. But with the release of season 4 many players are reporting that they cannot post their listing anymore, the LFG tool doesn’t let them. I am trying to figure out if that’s the new normal, if both SMS and the authenticator are necessary top post keys now. Blizzard is awfully silent about this. And in that Reddit thread people are saying there was a change recently.
That’s pretty messed up if it’s true, imagine not being able to play a game you pay $15/month for…
If it’s not a bug, it might be another textbook Blizzard “undocumented stealth change” that they’re so fond of doing 
The previous restriction of not being able to edit the title of a pug was fine, but not being able to list a pug or participate in LFG at all… big oof if it’s an undocumented stealth change
Just to clarify, we can still apply to keys, we just cannot post our key. So we’re stuck applying to other groups and at the moment it’s very hard to get an invite. Low geared people are absolutely screwed by this.
They already did. They want your real name. This is one of the harbingers of what to expect from DF. It’ll make SL look fun.
I think many of us will be taking a long break.

Pretty sure all these people complaining of bugs are players coming back to the game in the past few weeks after having been gone before the ptr of 9.1.5 was being talked about.
You think this won’t come back as an issue as more and more players return to the game in DF only to find they can’t make groups?
It’s their responsibility to adapt. The game changes and expecting things to remain as what they were when you left is delusional.

Nope. They are weeding out the last of the genuine players.
The only one not reading is you. Nothing has changed for 9.2 or 9.2.5. You are either returning to the game after quitting for 8-12 months or never used the pgf after the change until now.
And if a bug for wod dungeons, blizz will fix.

Rofl what? If I leave an MMORPG, the last thing I would imagine they would do is cripple my ability to form a group when I come back.
The OP said he doesn’t have authenticator, I imagine it’s related to that (…if it’s a bug)
I have authenticator and so far it’s /crickets over here, I’ve listed 20+ keys this week with absolutely 0 issues 
Software and hardware has to change. You still use floppies for your computer?
The problem wasnt authenticator before it was always addons interfering with being able to list this isnt the first time for this problem so thats why I mentioned it
