SM, Mara, XP boosters! Do it right, or Don't do it!

After paying 6, 7, 8+ gold per run; it seems relevant to make a post at this point. If you are being paid gold to boost/rush people through dungeons, and especially if we levelers pay you first and are at that point obligated to stay; if you the booster die during the pull, you then owe us the levelers a gold for rightfully killing our XP per hour. If you can’t due the job correctly we should be forced to stay because you suck and we already paid. If you want to Sell your runs at “pro” rates, then be and play like a “pro” and don’t mess it up for all of us.

This isn’t a 1 death rule but if you die once or twice during Cath then Arm, you messed it up for all of us. And, if we mess it up for you, [that dumb person standing in doorway trying to see what’s going on and pulls by accident, wiping the party] then we/that person owe you an extra gold for wasting everyones time.

Argue me and prove a valid point, but if we/I pay you to due a job, then we/I expect you to do it right.

I’ve seen some people try to learn on a job. Leave those immediately.

Yeah I don’t mind paying I’d someone is learning, but they shouldn’t be charging the steady “pro” rate, hell I’d pay 3g (maybe) for someone *learning" if they were decent. But Hell if I should pay you 8g and you mess it up and see learning, let me know then.

Don’t post “Selling SM Cath/Arm 1pull 8g/reset [insert boosting guildname here]” and acting like you know what you are doing.

You don’t pay for the learning ones ever. Don’t set that precedent.

Also mages doing Mara. It’s 20k xp per run not 16k or 17k because you don’t have the skill to properly pull the correct mobs.

Only pay after a run. Never pay someone first unless you have run with them before. So many mages saw some YouTuber do this and can’t pull it off. Once they do a run successfully than pay.

Im learning some big pulls in ZF and inviting lowbies for free, did the run successfully 4 times yesterday, then I messed one blink and died lol.

hate boosters, less people actually want to run a dungeon properly

I like this. Since people are here. If you are on Bloodsail Buccaneers. I am paying 5g a run and you keep the loot obviously. Horde. Pst me Kanstilxo if you are willing to powerlevel me.

I’ve sat through a lot of Mara Runs
Most have you pay after each one, not before

Yea how dare people enjoy the game how they like!!!

You get the same amount of XP per run.

If they do it right.

The SM one is pretty hard to f up but I’ve seen people miss huge amount of mobs in the maura run and try to charge same price.

When paying for a service you need to be clear of your expectations upfront with the person providing the service. I feel like that’s a problem a lot of buyers run into when trying to hire someone out for something.

You’re not entitled to perfection and that’s the risk of paying up front, the same risk they take if they get paid after the run and you just bounce… or you do something stupid to “help” the pull and monkey up the whole endeavor.

I think if my alt is asked to heal during the boost, my cost is lowered.

Don’t say you don’t need the help, but take an extra 2-5 mins to complete the pull because you got motivated by some Youtuber.

^ What they said.

On that note:

All of your problems, both OP and you can be solved by joining leveling Guilds. They can provide a proper run of appropriate level or speed run you through (without pay).

If you actually do enough boosts, the 60 (most likely mage) will easily just blacklist/ignore you. They have such a wait list that you bailing does not do enough damage for them.

I’ve had plenty of mages put me on a wait list when doing SM boosts because there is so much demand

I mean sure, but I still have my time wasted or lose out on gold, which is the OP’s issue. A boosted player can just bounce if the booster is crap, but time/gold is already wasted.

I remember doing this once when leveling. I decided to be proactive and soul stone the mage.

I find it odd that the people complaining about getting a low level group are always in a guild. Like I can see an unguilded person having problems, not someone in a guild and they’re usually big guilds.
