SM, Mara, XP boosters! Do it right, or Don't do it!

They’re waiting for someone else to form the group, summon them to the instance, buy 'em some bigger bags, etc.

Lol “entitled to perfection,” where infact if you pay for a service with the promise of # XP per hour I am “entitled” to that promise. I am entitled to a job well done and not a botched project, when paying for a service.

Don’t be ignorant thinking this is about entitlements, it’s about paying for a service and not receiving proper service.

As far as “help” most of them say not too because my blizzard/Reign of Fire is some sort of distraction I guess. Nonetheless, I’m told not to help.

It’s a pretty laissez-faire market.

If you provide trashcan service and don’t try to make amends, I’m never going to use you again or refer you to anyone, and if it’s bad enough I may besmirch your name. Whether or not that matters to you or not is up to you, but it’s really all I can do.

If I die I don’t charge for the current and give the next run free.
I die about once every six hours of mara. It happens, everyone dies occasionally.

But I agree, if you have some really scuffed mage, especially if they’re charging a premium rate. They shouldn’t be dying or at least should compensate if they do.

It’s quite a bit of word of mouth for boosters tbh. You want to be known as a quality booster so people always want to join.

No, you’re only entitled to what they offer, not your expectations. You didn’t contract with them for a minimum level of competency, you handed them a small fee to be boosted and said nothing more.

Of which you have no guarantees, so yes, this is about entitlements. You’re reading promises in that aren’t at issue, that’s on you.

Most of the “help” comes in the form of getting too close and getting proximity aggro, or having some goofed up spec that procs a freeze or stun, or similar nonsense.

The whole way running to SM … and than hoping to be boosted for a lot of gold … it’s just no worth .
Why don’t group with people at your level and do the dungeon ?
Or even questing it’s much faster .
I can understand for stockade … but why would you do this with SM. And yes not every mage can do a good job with AOE .

It’s spelt “dew”.

Also, imagine dungeon boosting when paid boosts are coming next month.

Yeah I’ve kind of noticed for every mage in SM, there is at least 4 players between 30-40. And say there is 30 mages there roughly means there is 120+ players who can save 8g a run get just as much loot and do just as good maybe not at the same pace but it’d still be just as good.

As a strictly SM booster who has made thousands and thousands of gold I can safely say, sometimes poop happens.

Like cath is legit all about resisting frostbolts. Sometimes you’re just unlucky and 4 hit you.

I use reflector.

Trinket.

Escape artist.

If a 4th one hits me it’s basically over.

On average I prolly die 1 time out of like 16 runs.

Sometimes rng is rng.

As for armory, it can get sketch if the mobs are late to arrive at the ice block spot, especially if it’s the dudes who interupt. One interupt is a wipe.

They promised you a run. They didn’t promise you a GOOD run.

Maybe just dont boost and level normal lol

Most people still learning usually charge half of market rate or don’t charge at all, if you get someone who wipes just leave

If you’re dumb and lazy enough to pay someone to level for you, then I have no pitty for such a loss. Boosters and boostees are ruining the dungeon experience for everyone else. Because of this nonsense, I fully support Blizzard allowing for paid boosts.

Pretty sure time is what ruined the dungeon experience.

What they should do instead of offering paid boosts is just implement a wholesale nerf to XP gained by low level characters when there’s a large level discrepancy between them and the other members of their party.

That would serve to curb boosting behavior, and make conventional leveling the most efficient way to earn experience (as it should be).

Yeah, there is a definite, natural attrition in runs during every expansion. The boost craze on my server started pretty much as soon as mages hit 60. By the time they geared out of MC, most people seemed to prefer boosts.

I believe this was implemented later on.
