You’re a lore person. You know the lore. Where does Elsie fit on your spectrum of what the Forsaken are and aren’t?
You don’t like Sylvanas, that is clear. But it is canon that many Forsaken do still have loyalty to Sylvanas. You can’t just wish those people away. For someone who has thrown obscure lore in my face, even you have to admit that a cult of personality is not going to disappear overnight.

Well that’s the official Forsaken opinion on Windy. As for her cult- well we will need more doomed and idiotic zealots to kill in Tirisfal if that ever gets revamped now that the Scarlet Crudade is sorted out.

And she’s the best written character we have. That’s not exactly great for the Forsaken. But we play the cards we’re dealt.

No, Nathanos was, but he had to die because muh fee fees and Night Elves were mad.
Lilian started BfA as one character and ended as a completely different character with no discernible reason why she should care one way or another other than Blizzard had no other options.
Lilian went from actively avoiding identifying as Forsaken to leading the Forsaken with no explanation for how that happened. And other races whine about not getting enough story time.
I’d say the Worgen and Night elves are close second then. For the Worgen she destroyed their home, twice. And the Night elves, well that one is quite obvious.
Look I’m just going to level because I’m up way too late as is.
You do not seem to know, nor care to know, about the broader themes of the Forsaken. The quiet moments of humanity behind the scary eyes and claws. The gallows humor that’s clearly a defense mechanism after extraordinary trauma. The moments of kindness, charity and good will peppered in that are that are the essential spice to why the Forsaken are such a wondrous and adorable addition to the whole of the fantasy gaming genre.
It sounds an awful lot like you just want to play an uncomplicated bad guy who does uncomplicated bad things to player corpses. And there’s many, many, many lesser factions in lesser stories that will sate that appetite.
So maybe keep the Forsaken out your mouth.

You know this character existed in Vanilla long before being associated with Sylvanas right? Right?
Just because the hivemind says a character is “this” doesn’t mean you are excused from doing your own research or heck dude…just load up Classic, it’s included as part of the subscription package. If you want to get to know Nathanos just roll an Alliance character.
Stop substituting dismissivness for a lack of an argument.
What was his character then, honestly? He was a minor NPC boss who we know was hunting high elves in the Plaguelands to cover his identity, had plague hounds and was raised into undeath after being killed by an abomination who tore through his house and he was later rescued by Sylvanas.
With all that information, I still know nothing about him. His character was fleshed out only later, a character with only one personality trait. You can’t even say he cared about the Forsaken considering he abandoned them when Sylvanas called.
