Yea, I think that’s a good way to put it.
This is just elitist prickism, and the people spouting it don’t really deserve to benefit from the cooperative delights of multiplayer gaming. Mercy for the merciful. You actively want life harder for other people? Fine. Enjoy the solitude.
15 or so situational abilities per class. 2 different hero talent pools, each with 1-2 talent variations that might inform counter play. 3-4 win conditions per individual. 8 enemies. 0 VANILLA means of tracking who has what, who is targeting you, who is here to help, who is going to ignore intelligent play and zug at you, force your defensives early or grip you out of a position you have 0 means of returning to.
All with zero instruction for how the bg functions, outside of ‘grab flag run base.’ Zero training on what to expect from other classes, zero input on why the hunter’s health doesn’t drop, you only know your abilities are missing.
You smug couch commanders sit there with your contrarian bibs, happy to git gud here and ‘just install weak auras there’ like you’ve somehow cracked a code all on your own, you’ve got it all figured out.
Without direction and without clear exchange of what’s going on, players are going to realize this mini game of a mini game isn’t fun at all and bounce right off, and then you’ll have nobody left to lord your meaningless superiority over. I look forward to the uptick of embarrassing activity on these forums. ‘Hey guys im so good at wow pvp and youre not haha git gud am i rite haha’
I dont understand what it is that upset you.
For anyone that isnt very new to BGs, the changes for objetives has been minimal for Solo Bgs. If someone isnt perfoming tremendously, oh well. This isnt a paid profession, its just a game. No need to have all that much emotion tied to it.
No slow should reduced you below 50% movement in PvP combat. There should be a PvP embellishment/gem that makes that 75%.
Half the roots/snares need to be removed as well.
I do not like bullies.
Meanwhile warriors hamstring is 50%
I don’t want it to be stronger though. That’s just obnoxious and creating more of the problem. Cap all snares at 50%. PvP loses so much participation because of how obnoxious CC is. They need to prune 50% of it to clean up PvP and increase the skill cap.
Going to have to agree, the amount of CC and high percentage snares can make the game feel a bit unplayable for some specs that don’t have the tools to deal with it. Also, way too many AoE and passive roots and snares.
the main thing that has to go is the fact they just instant cast forever. frozen orb is one of the only abilities they cast (the dumb wall too) thats too op, they should go back to casting. Ele shams cant cast while running anymore, How come mages can do whatever they want
I don’t know where you get the idea that I’m an elitist, I often say that I’m not great at the game, there are lots of things I have yet to learn.
Um, no, where did you get this from?
Some roles are just not suited to specific tasks.
Because the same people who complain that they can’t kill healers, also complained that they couldn’t counter tanks with flags, so now the flag is ‘heavy’ and the stacking debuff now also causes it to reduce all sorts mobility and disables certain classes defensives.
It’s also why tanks take extra damage and why druid travel form is slowed in BGs.
All because people who have no interest in being good at their class, also don’t want other classes to be better.
All things to learn, to get good, I know I don’t know all of them yet either.
And as with anything in this game, there are lots of outside resources to investigate so as to learn this.
WoW came out in the age of the internet, you have the information at your fingertips, if you want to know more.
This comes with time, experience and research, which is apparently essential if you plan on being a master of anything.
Well, installing pre-made weakauras certainly isn’t a sign that anyone other than the weakaura designer has cracked any codes.
I have a couple that I’ve made for myself, to keep track of things, but that also took a bit of research.
I certainly didn’t know any of it when I started playing.
But I didn’t blame everything around me.
I went out and found the information I wanted, to be better at my role.
Just a couple of examples where I clearly don’t say this:
I understand, people say git-gud a lot, but there is some truism to it despite the baggage which comes with it.
I’m still on that road, but every time I come to a roadblock, I don’t run to Blizzard to demand that they smooth the road for me.
Even if there was a global DR so you can’t end up “stuck” for 20-30 seconds at a time would be nice. clone clone clone stun stun* stun root silence passive 400% slow kick root stun the end credits of fellowship of the ring clone stun kick 5 sec lockout root the sound of silence increases in volume in the background wistfully looks out window sub stun x45 hunter silence music increases even these words are becoming softer as music takes over three passive DK stuns in a row DK incap that takes 3M dmg to break memories of your childhood clones off DR now …
Gee, I wonder
You constantly act like this without ever offering substance to a discussion. Then wonder why people give you flack lol.
That’s not elitism, that’s wanting to know that the player who is complaining has the experience to know what they’re complaining about.
“And I get to decide that!”
Looks like we can add to the list that you have no idea what Elitism is as well lol. Everything posted above is Elitism. Also you being wrong. Good day. Now back to ignoring you but couldn’t resist posting that gem.
If you think a 1300 players opinion doesn’t matter you are 100% an Elitist and also completely wrong. Rating doesn’t qualify you. You don’t need credentials. The only one with drivel around here is you.
Well, if you hide behind a Classic alt, no one can decide it.
It’s like going to a doctor for a health check, but they don’t have their degree on the wall.
Are they really a doctor?
Should you really be taking their advice?
If they are hiding their credentials, why?
Hey everyone, the Dr of wow want to check everybodys “credentials” to make sure their opinion is valid. (Bro…folks can say how they feel about their experiences)
That Panda is funny, anyway.
I’ve got 2 knockbacks, one of which is a trap. 3 non-knockback traps, binding shot and snare aoe on disengage, and intimidation and pet snare Chemeral Sting slow(pvp talent) and concussion shot slow. 11enemy movement tools…on a Hunter. I HATED fighting hunters (and lots of other higher CC specs due to spammable CC) as Ret, and I feel I have a design advantage over the CC disadvantaged specs. Bgs became fun again when I let my Ret be shelved.
When i played mage i loved the instant cast. That would be too much tbh. I wouldnt mind there instant casts if they removed the slow and root effects from them and only apply those to their casted abilities. That way they cant just kite for days
There’s no reaching you, is there.
I like it the other way. Let the flag be carried until death, regardless of ability used. Some of the most fun ever was slow fall rocket bootsing with the flag.
