Slow Down Classic Content Release!

Given you’re level 24 now, I wouldn’t worry about experiencing new phases as they come out.

Activision is a company, WoW is one of their products, and as such, the Top priority is to make money for their shareholders; nothing more.
The business plan is to “Follow the Money”.
You can see this, most recently from " You think you do, but you don’t", to the most recent… China issue.

You may have stated some good points in your post that affect many people in the player base, but unless it affects the “Bottom Line”, your concerns will go unnoticed.

When Bean Counters are running a AAA Game company, most decisions regarding the progress of said games, are made in an office, filled with people who have never experienced their own product and have no concept of what the player base is looking for, or wanting.

My original guess was that the run of classic phases would take 12 or 18 months. Since that’ll be around the time of the next retail xpac. Then at Blizzcon next year they will tell us if they’re doing Classic+ or TBC. Giving players another 6mo - 1 year to enjoy classic on alts or whatever.

he is clearly trolling the people that have responded … so aye, well played

How many characters have you started on Classic servers?

I am assuming this is not your first character and you have been somewhat indecisive about what you are playing. If you had chosen a server and knew what class you were going to make you would have been 24 within your second play session so about 10 hours give or take. And then another 2 play sessions of 5 hours each to get around 30 and then 40 in another 20 hours or so. So Roughly 2 days /played should be around level 35-40 unless you are more concerned with crafting, RPing, and waste a lot of time LFG to get that awesome drop from wherever that you NEEEDD.

So look you need to make a few decisions. Do you want to play end game content or slowly creep to 60? Do you want to run every low level dungeon and try to get every item for your class along the way or do you want to get to get to 60 and grind UBRS for your BiS? Do you want to raid Naxx or do you want to complain that everyone else is going to get to raid Naxx?

I don’t think Blizzard should wait for the slow players because it gives the rest of us limited options for things to do. We have pre Raid BiS, got into 3-4 raids at this point and the only upgrades for us are held behind an arbitrary lockout to make sure we don’t leave casuals completely behind.

IMO content should be released in shorter phases. All BG’s should come out at the same time and raid lock outs should be shortened to 24 hours so everyone can have a chance at being geared enough for BWL and beyond. Because just like in Vanilla we are going to walk into BWL with people who are undergeared and people will get discouraged and start gquitting and coming to the forums to complain that BWL came out too soon and they didn’t have enough time to get MC geared.

Uh, perhaps you missed his first sentence, key words being “most of the playerbase”.

Those streamers can pound sand! Furthermore they are few, we the player base are many and my $15 a month is equal to theres.

Yea, I was most of the playerbase! 2 months to level up was the norm!

Yes your $15 a month is equal. But I highly doubt you are bringing new / returning customers in droves like Asmongold is. Don’t hate them, rejoice. Because of these people classic will actually be around longer.

Streamers don’t make a large portion of anything that’s silly. There are not that many of them to be influencing phases. I understand that some of them do have direct contact with the classic wow team and they may get to “leak” info but I don’t think they are directly influencing dates you are giving normal guys with web cams and microphones way too much credit.

People have got to get over the “wait for me” mentality. There will always be people who haven’t cleared the content before the next one comes out. Get over it.

Most of the players who played in vanilla did not start at launch, nor did they even start before BWL. Most actually started after the AQ event did, but many of them played on new servers where the war effort hadn’t started yet.

Lol you mean at the same pace it came out originally? its not artificially increasing anything. The slower release schedule was created to mirror the release timeline of classic iirc. So making it release faster would actually be changing it to favor faster players.

I am not asking to wait for anybody, I am asking to let us play the damn game that was released 6 weeks ago… I cannot believe we are being chided because we want to enjoy a little more of the just freshly released game then 6 weeks!

I could see if Classic was out 4-5 Months… 6 weeks!

Content should be released at the same pace it was when it was first introduced all those many years ago. Period.

You wanted them to hold off on phase 2 for 5 months?

I didn’t either, I was playing FFXI and crossed over and still was 60 prior to BGs

If there was a laughing button or emoji I would give your post it. Majority are not 60 nor even close to 60, you are delusional.

Yeah that’s highly improbable

Im at 41 on a pvp server and 29 on a pve server. The pace they release content will not affect me. The people it will affect are the ones who rush to complete everything. Those players have me scratching my head … its vanilla, at some point the content will stop. Then what?
