Last boss on 18 with 3.2 million health and hitting for 50k with no health increase drops wasn’t doable
Serious question um…how am i supposed to do this as a rogue…i have a crimson vial heal and a 3% per tick heal during dance. .
Is blizz for real with this? The hell.
The issue is that it assumes you are taking a healthy mix of survival / throughput anima powers and that a fair amount of those survival powers are max health increases.
But Anima Powers are entirely too random for that to be a reliable thing. So you end up spending 2 hours clearing 3 layers worth of Torghast only to fail because the last floor or 2 jarringly scale up into something you can’t outplay even with gear.
Considering that a lot of people HATE Torghast, putting a maw-rideable mount behind triple-length Torghast is pretty F’d.
Oh look all the debby downers ready to hop on the blue posts again.
I love twisting corridors - it makes me feel godlike when you have around 100 anima powers. It might be somewhat challenging for some people, but those are usually the ones who don’t know how to balance defensive and offensive powers and who skip corridors once they find the floor exit.
Do a little research on what powers are really good and synergize with other powers. DO NOT get all / mostly DPS powers, you will just get one shot by the end boss if you do. DO NOT skip any mobs / corridors / jars. You should have around 90 - 110 powers by the time you take on the last boss.
I’ve done up to layer three, and while I find it “challenging” it’s not the hardest thing I’ve had to do. What I don’t like about it in particular is just how long it is. I’m not saying someone should be able to whiz through it, but a checkpoint wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. I’m sure that won’t happen and others will disagree, that’s fine. Just my opinion. I suppose you can take small breaks every 3rd and 6th level, but I hate the risk of a random dc just punting my progress.
Nah tuning is completely broken. My pet and I were both getting 2 shot on the final boss with plenty of powers and defensive abilities. It’s beyond broke.
I figured people would have easily sensed how strong my sarcasm was.
This. As a mage with no self-heal and little defense capability, I learned early on in Torghast what to prioritize. You’ll get many powers going through. If you are a class with low survivability, taking it slow and getting defensive powers on the lower levels will likely be much more important. Although some powers aren’t offered as often, so if your choice is between one of the rare offensive ones and a common defensive, well the choice there should be obvious.
There are also terms that describe posters who blindly support all changes, good or bad.
Or it could be its not meant to be done by ilvl 195 solo…find people.
Ok buddy. I have no problems never doing any Torghast stuff, but I thought the whole point of it was to add some solo-able end game content for people? It’s also level 1…don’t be an elitist. It’ll get nerfed, watch.
Yes but not solo all the way at very start of ilvls. Heard of 200+ raid gear? Ilvl 226 after a few months? That’s what its meant for…not a low ilvl 195 to solo it all with ease.
My crack team of analysts have uncovered your problem
Yeah! I usually do that for Normal Layer 8’s. I was thinking that the Layer 1 wouldn’t be as hard as a Normal Layer 8 so I def learned that the hard way!
That’s what I meant when I said don’t underestimate Layer 1; don’t just zerg it like you do Normal Torghast. Don’t make my same mistake!
Sigh… a few posts ago I had mentioned that you can either kill the lvl 6 and 12 bosses, leave, go back in and kill lvl 6 again to finish the quest, or just kill the lvl 6 boss 3 times.
they aren’t timegated anymore
I feel bad for saying outright that I think this content is crap, it feels so nasty to say…but I just think it is. Oh well plenty of other stuff to do in wow.
I mean let’s be honest, it took more time for me to do this content then it did for me to clear the cut and paste of the D3 version of the D1 Labyrinth…
Except for the part where it is mandatory if you want to continue the story line since the quest from Bolvar requires an item from the 18th floor boss. Maybe read up on it before tossing a snarky reply how it is just cosmetic.
I went in on my ilvl 200 Vengeance DH. Made sure to grab the health anima upgrades so i was at 130k non demon form health. Boss on 18th floor 2 shot me after about 4 stacks of her buff that you cant remove, hit me twice for over 70k per hit. Basically if you are not 213 ilvl or in a strong group you are locked out of the story till you can get that level gear.
