Slay Monstrosities in Torghast’s Twisting Corridors

Oh look, more story progression locked behind the most boring content WoW has ever released. I’m even comparing this to Isle of Quel’Danas and Classic rep grinding. Final Fantasy XIV is naturally boring, and even Heaven-On-High, which you blatantly ripped off, was more fun than this.

and when you thought Torghast was painful enough…

Whats the expression, too many eggs in one basket?

I’m honestly curious to see just how much deeper Blizz can keep digging the hole.

I mean, goodness, it legit feels like they’re trying to piss off the playerbase enough to the point of stopping playing.

I just can’t simply imagine how anyone thought any of this should be considered a “good” idea.

Death Seeker Pet - Yawn! It’s not unique or cool looking… and it’s battle abilities are terrible.

Helm of the Dominated - So many possibilities with a toy that requires this much effort to attain and you chose a Mawsworn illusion?

Title: Spirestalker - Does anyone even care about titles? Not even a good title.

Corridor Creeper - Finishing Layer 8 for this seems excessive. It’s the only good reward in all of Torghast and even that is stretching it. It’s cool looking, but the sound of riding it grates on my nerves. You really need to change the sounds for this one and do some stupid RP post about getting it a lube job. Also, it should freaking fly for that much effort. Will you ever learn your lesson about mount rewards?

But next level you will get a pet! WOOHOO

so uh… don’t do it? maybe?

I love this content and I hope they make more. Torghast was the best thing they added this expansion.

Sure, Blizzard. Wowhead has that list of “rewards”.

Toy, Pet, Title, Mount.

When originally it was billed as “for casuals, not related to progression” etc, etc, etc. Considering that Mount is the ONLY way you’re letting people ride around Torghast unless they’re one of a select few classes/races, having that Mount could very well AFFECT Progression.

Many were saying that the damage spiking for some started as early as level 11.

And when you have cheese mechanics like teleporting fearing mobs and turrets stripping off thousands of HP each … there’s only so much that SKILL can do.

I think the answer is NO. Now Wowhead did say that beta testers cleared it. But they were most likely rocking full enchants everywhere, all the food buffs, since they were all easy to get, and the best gear. In short “best gear from first raid”. And it still took them over a dozen hours to clear Layer 8 of Twisting Corridors.

Cleared layer 1 no problem as destruction do not rush through early skipped powers will be needed by the time you hit level 14-15

I echo this sentiment. I cleared layer 1 today with no glitches and it was fun, a bit challenging but not taxing. I don’t think I’ll try to go higher until the weekend. I hope layer 2 is incrementally more difficult, not exponentially.

Torghast is so great. Every level is laughably easy it’s mindlessly mundane to do at all.

New to Torghast, Twisting Corridors, level 1. Floors 1-14, piece of cake. Literally falling asleep, feeling my brain numbing and slowly rotting away. Floor 15, you die. Over and over, one hit killed. All those anima powers you got, worthless because you’re one hit.

Was there ever a point in Torghast where it, smoothly scales with floor? No. Does it get progressively difficult? N. You’re either bored out of your mind or frustrated that you can’t fight a mob 1v1 because you insta-die. I have a pet, one-hit. Guy looks at me, “You out of CCs, yet?” One hit.

This is Blizz. You’re asking too much.

These are the devs that put out a “Beta” version to users who decided to focus more on “Meta” testing instead. Do you think there is any chance they’re having the newly developed content tested at all?

do NOT give them ideas about a torghast mobile game.

Given the trouble Blizzard has had in the past tuning for certain types of content, I can only imagine that the RNG factor of the powers doesn’t help matters.

Is the content tuned for a player who goes in and picks all defensives? All offensives? Or makes not-so-great choices (ie, aoe effects that aren’t going to be all that helpful against bosses / elites)

Not defending Blizzard here, but I’m not surprised at all at how the place plays.

I just did last weeks quest and immediately was able to grab and do this weeks.

For renown, i got one of boost tokens from a boss drop because i didnt get 1k anima last week.

Whoever told you there isnt catch up is lying.

Look at layer 1 of Twisting Corridors as Layers 1-3 of the normal Torghast combined and you have to do 18 floors and the difficulty progresses as you go up .

You finish floor 6 you don’t start over you go to floor 7 (layer 2 normal ) and the items you need for the Anduin quest are at the end bosses.

Yeah, I’m not surprised either. Sadly. I think the game is tuned for certain classes only. I bet each piece of content was only tested with a few classes and they thought they did good, but the classes are so unbalanced, right there with the rest of the game.
