Good luck farming Heroics before Max, or getting Attuned without your mount.
Oh wow, all the quests…well if you did it right those got you your mount at 70 or just fed you gold.

Everyone’s different.
Doing a BEM quest I found I could buy an item that turns me into a black dragon whelping which was pretty funny.
Except that I was considered to be walking in whelpling form which I found out when I fell to my death off the Scryer Terrace.
Questing in most places in TBC is mind numbingly boring and inefficient. It’s done on purpose to make the world seem bigger.
I’d rather raid and get on to do quests or pvp for leisure than grind through quests.
That’s the fun FOR YOU. It’s not necessarily what’s fun for other people. Other people may enjoy doing dungeons/raids at max level and find doing the same quests for the 5th time repetitive and boring
Easy answer. Leveling blows in this game. I want to raid not do the same kill 12 things/loot 10 things/talk to this guy/Now talk to this guy. How is that fun to anyone?
It’s literally the same thing as doing the same raids over and over…
No I get gear and chill with my homies.
leveling is mostly solo for players
I do it because I will
Hit level 70
Then seed everything
and top dps in greens.
thats my reason
why do people think that max level is a “retail” mentality?
I actually enjoy leveling in retail. Being able to mount at 20, experience whatever xpac through chromie time… learn a new class + some of the story lines of the most recent xpacs flow a lot better than they did during vanilla and tbc. oh… and lets not forget the ability to use the lfg for dungeons while leveling.
Honestly, since leveling in classic kinda does suck, I can’t see how boosting is a “retail” mindset?
I play both classic and retail and there is a lot to do in retail while leveling and of course at max level. You can keep grinding on your max level in retail or just make a new character.
With Classic, level through once and you REALLY don’t want to do it all again.
Anyhow… to each their own.
If it sucks so much, then why was there such a mass exodus of players from Retail to Classic? Surely people who stopped playing BFA/ShadowLands to come do Classic didn’t do it for the end-game did they?
I guarantee you it wasn’t so they can constantly level alts.
Obviously it was
so quit your whining you big baby
Lol no one left retail to classic to level haha. Get your head out of your bootie.
They did it for the raids and doing things they never did back in classic. Not a lot of people raided Naxx. Thats why I came back.
Lol “left because of the leveling experience.” Cant make this stuff up
Look at the first person to 60 “Joker” He did it with the mage just farming mobs and not many quests lol He boosted himself
Thank you for reminding me why I don’t use these forums often.
Can’t waste one second without lobbing insults against someone with a different opinion.
Okay, that’s fine. Whatever.
calling it like i see it. if you can’t take the truth then these forums are the least of problems you’ll face in real life.
What do you mean “can’t take the truth”?
I don’t even know what you’re on about
Funny you just want to insult someone over a WoW forum.
There are mages doing steam vaults and slabs boosts. I am pretty sure I saw a few mages advertising for Shattered halls boosts.
Wait until they are geared and have enough mana and spell power to do even more boosting in those dungeons.
The playerbase optimized the fun out of this game a long time ago.
sad but true
Please don’t take this personally, but retail is in the shape it’s in due to Blizzard catering to people like you. I get it, we’re all adults with adult lives, but why come back to an old school, grindy (by todays standards), game when you don’t have the time?
Apparently it’s really difficult to release a classic game as is.
