Slave Pens boosts are disgusting

the game REALLY starts when you’re done with all content and complain theres nothing to do then quit. at least that seems to be the mentality these days.

“The old world is dead because of boosts therefore boosts are okay because the old world is dead” Great logic!

To level an alt, how is this difficult to grasp…

unfortunately you are not the arbiter to decide what parts of the video game are “fun” for other people.

Nothing wrong with that. I have times when I enjoy it, and times when I really don’t.

Yea, you know why? Because when Blizzard gave us the boost, that was their implicit way of saying “now the game REALLY starts at 58” because they know people want to skip past right to Outland.
But guess what? People aren’t even playing Outland, they’re afking in Slave Pens lol. Which is what I think goes against the spirit of what Blizzard was trying to do.

People boosted to from lvl 8 in RFC to lvl 60 in ZG in Classic, They’ll boost through SP, Slabs, etc to 70, and i’m pretty sure they’ll somehow boost to lvl 80 in Wrath, even if Blizzard’s 58 boost didn’t exist.

I really doubt Blizzard is trying to implicitly say anything, they’re trying to make money. Instead of paying mage boosters, you pay blizzard, it’s that simple.

If Blizzard was really trying to make money, you could pay them for as many 58 boosts as you want.
The rationale in providing the boost was to ‘get people to experience Outland’ with their friends. Which is fine, I totally get why people would wanna boost thru Mara and RFC and all that.
The Slave Pens boosts, I mean, yea, while technically not against terms of service, I just think is gross. just my opinion . its like why even bother to play

Yea the game starts once you can raid 1 night a week and then farm rep and gold the other nights a week. Hurry up or you’ll miss it. /sarcasm

The only reason they put restrictions was to appease the large anti-cash shop sentiment in Classic players.

Then you have to ask, why do players with a lvl 58+ toon is still able to purchase the boost?

Haha. Nailed it. The number of people who scream, “Leveling no fun!!1 WPVP no fun!! Only endgame fun!!!” and then “There’s nothing to do!!1 This game sux!!1”…like, folks, ya gotta brain sometime. Maybe that ole “the joy is in the journey” meant something after all?

honestly, at this point, would that even trigger more ‘purists’ to quit the game?
ehhh, I dunno, its possible. As a company, I don’t see how they would have data on that.

For fairness I’d guess. “If they have a boost, why can’t I?” - mentality

Streamers and retailers created this horrible environment where boosting is the way to play. End game is all the matters and it’s a retail mindset. Even wpvp suffers from this mind set. People only wpvp if they have another player near them so they can clear out the competition with no risk of being camped.

Unfortunately, a lot of modern gamers have no appreciation for the RPG elements of the game. They want to play this game like it’s Call of Duty. But it is what it is. Modern Blizzard doesn’t care, and they’re not going to do anything about it.

Some players just want to get into end game asap, not like this is a first time for most of us.

I for one like questing for wpvp opportunities.

You and I arent going to fix anything, be real!

You think Blizzard, today’s Blizzard.

A: Knows how to fix it.
B: Even cares?

They have whales to sell ugly, poorly animated, stupid mounts to.

/spit - oh wait does that work still?

Its a joke, and they have killed their own game.

“Only WoW, can kill WoW.”

Nah, only Blizzard can kill WoW.

Quit in Wrath. Imagine playing retail.
