Quite literally pointless lol.
Campaign and explore. Many were getting it at level 77/78.
I’m sure most of us are scratching our heads trying to figure out why they kept it. I know I can’t think of anything other than precedent and keeping a relic in the game just because this concept has been around for 18 years lol.
The we are in agreement let them get rid of it next xpac. But this stuff of people acting like every single patch they need to remove it right then and now is stupid.
Incorrect on both counts. It’s not discriminatory, even though you desperately wish it was. It’s also not why this thread exists, this is just the OP repeating the same thread multiple times and spreading misinformation with the claim it is impossible to obtain steady flight due to needing skyriding.
I have no empathy for the use of a disability, or other people who are disabled, as a gotcha to ignore reality and disagreement that has no relation to the disability in the first place.
I have plenty of empathy. I however will not be gaslight into believing this is more than people being bored and looking for a reason to be upset.
It doesn’t. I don’t know why you think this has to be all or nothing lol.
And we both know why you are spamming the thread. You like tbc flight over skyriding. It has nothing to do with disabilities or advocating. You just found an excuse to spam.
Okay? And? Nice job at twisting the argument to act like I am downplaying handicaps. 10/10 good bait.
Do you want my laundry list of medical conditions?
And in your haste to be offended, you didn’t disprove what I said. More so proved my point.
Because we don’t want PF in game at all from now on if Dragon Flying is fully open at start of any expansion now…trying to type while my left hand goes full Trigger mode now…do you even know what Trigger mode of a hand is now…guess not…
It doesn’t matter what you want though. That’s what we’ve been telling you since august. The devs want their game to be played a certain way. They want skyriding to be the main mode of flight.
That’s just how it is.
Now do I agree with it? No. Locking flight behind PF is dated. And how they have slowly been trimming down PF, it’s all but removed. Which tells me it mostly likely won’t exist next xpac. Or it will remain in it’s skeletal state of just do super trivial stuff to get flying week 1.
And imo you should leave disabilities out of the equation. It does nothing for the argument. As long as ground riding exists, there is an alternate means of travel. Is it ideal or preferred? No. But it existing removes the argument of accessibility.
And PF’s requirements being all but removed, that also contributes to the overreaction we are seeing in these types of threads.
Sorry to hear that you have stenosing tenosynovitis but it is treatable by various ways. Its hardly the end of the world. Suggest you talk to a Dr. about getting it treated and save yourself the pain of having it.
Shouting “disability” as a means to try to downplay any disagreement, when the topic is in no way relevant to disabilities, is not empathy. It’s just vile and disgusting to use disabled folks or any other minority as a tool to get what you want.
Hey my friends, may I humbly suggest that we extend grace to others who do not agree with us, and allow others to have the last word? At this point I suspect we almost all have communicated our point as well as it can be communicated.
I bet this thread would like to just lay down and be left at this point.
Can everyone please just walk away? Let others be right (or wrong). Be the bigger person.
A lot of what is being said here are massive overreactions. And while you call people “vile human beings” for pointing this out, you also do the same thing.
It’s just a bad argument. It’s flying in a video game. You do not need it. You want it. You can play without it and you’ll only be without it for a few hours at that. And it’s not right to consistently use handicaps as ammo to get pathfinder removed. It’s just wrong.
But I guess I would be a vile human for being a handicap person with a differing opinion which contradicts what you are saying.
Unfortunately this is how pretty much every other pathfinder thread goes. They usually get locked and/or deleted due to all the vitriol.
Directed at Kiyoko, who has straight up told disabled folks they’re lying about their own disabilities. Yes. I stand by that. I don’t know where I’ve done anything close to that, but okay.
It’s not about needing it, it’s about the more accessible (and arguably less efficient) mode of flying being locked behind an unnecessary achievement. The zones were clearly designed with flight in mind, and it is, as much as y’all want to pretend to deny it, far more inefficient and cumbersome to navigate these zones without it. Yes it’s doable, but it pretty obviously wasn’t the intended way to do it without flight at all.
There’s a lot of denial about the ways in which people are affected by their disabilities. For those who have disabilities and are able to work with skyriding, this isn’t a slight on you. I don’t know how it’s interpreted as such. There are people who struggle with these things because of inhibitions beyond their control. If not removing the gatekeeping effect of locking standard flight, then advocate for a rework of skyriding controls, or more efficient non-flight travel options, or something other when “deal with it”. Y’all just come off as heartless. It’s utterly disgusting.
See if you lead with THIS and not immediately going in about disabilities, then we’d be in a completely different place right now lol.
I don’t disagree, but these people are also in the minority. A lot of posters in these threads act like every other person has a disability or the game is literally unplayable for people with disabilities unless pathfinder is removed.
If you notice, not a single one of my posts are mocking people with disabilities or their individual struggle. Same with a lot of the posters, like Kiy, calling out people for using people with disabilities as their rallying cry. Especially like a certain rogue that spams these threads and has a history of posting anti pathfinder threads purely because they don’t like skyriding.
Calling out their needless spam and bumping of the thread is returned with hate and often name calling and accusations.
Because you are inserting your own context and meaning.
Like your very first post to me.
You took what I said and inserted your own context and implied I was poking fun at disabled veterans, when nothing remotely like that was even mentioned.
People see what they want to see. These topics become too emotional and they become impossible to have actual conversations as they devolve into mindless fighting and finger pointing.
