Skyriding is too hard for disabled gamers

That’s the problem apparently you and others are not understanding. It’s not about anti-flight… LMAO omg I can’t stop laughing… too much giggle juice tonight

No actually, same rules for everyone. Much as you and several others want to pretend Blizzard asks if you have any disabilities, then goes “Nyeh!” and adds additional restrictions to your account, everyone has to hit level 20 if they want to use steady flight anywhere, and everyone has to complete the four exploration achievements and the leveling campaign through Uniting Severed Threads to fly in Khaz Algar.

Indeed progress has been made. But removing pathfinder is the final step to close the chapter on a dark history of WoW IMO.

No, you can’t skyride below level 10.

Non allied race characters have to both leave exiles reach, and reach level 10 to fly.

That is a fair statement that pathfinder should not long exist because it isn’t about anti flight. It is a pointless gating of a tool that is useful to disabled players.

so you want games designed around the 0.001%?

i wonder how that game will turn out. cough concord

games are a business first. of course they will appeal to the majority, whether you like it or not. those that dont? we seen them crash and burn already.

what compels you to say something so idiotic? it’s not as though designing games with software which accommodates disabled players comes at the expense of other players. do you have the faintest idea what you’re talking about?

why dont you go make a game for the 0.001%?

so the answer is ‘no.’ you have no idea what you’re talking about. at least you clarified.

Well they think Concord crashed and burned because of disabled gamers so that should tell you all you need to know

I too have some physical disabilities that affect my gameplay and I found that sending them an email seemed to help. accessibility@blizzard.com

?

THAT is what you took away from what I wrote?

Bless you.

You bring up interesting points but removing PF so the disabled can use TBC normal flying is an easy win and no changes to the game that require a lot of time.

You have to unlock normal flying in the war within before you can use it.

This is why gating TBC normal flying should not be a thing.

Alternatively: Grow up and earn it like everyone else instead of trying to use disabled folks as a tool to benefit yourself.

No, I understood very well.

PF should be removed. WE as a community need to stick up for one another.

Ahh, thanks for the explanation. I was somewhat confused because I have only recently returned to WoW after a 10 year absence. After purchasing a subscription and TWW, I raced through the first part of the MSQs, excited to be experiencing WoW again. At some point I realized that I had access to both modes of flight. I’m not sure if that was immediate or was triggered by completion of the MSQs or something else. I wasn’t paying attention too closely (I was having too much fun). What I do know is that even with being afflicted with Parkinson’s Disease, Skyriding, for me, is only a bit more difficult than the old style of flight (landings are a bit rough but are quite manageable).

I wish people like you could truly experience what having a disability that makes playing games difficult is like. This response is ignorant and beyond tone deaf.

Would it affect YOU as a player in any way if they removed the pathfinder requirements? Absolutely not. How about YOU grow up and stop gatekeeping something that doesn’t affect you or your daily gameplay.

I personally feel pathfinder has outgrown it’s necessity now that we have skyriding at level 10. Barring steady flight behind some arbitrary requirement is not needed. I am not disabled, but I do stand by OP in their request to remove pathfinder requirements.

So much this! It’s just a manipulative tool that is being used at this point.
