So how do you all feel about skill capped videos and guides is it worth it or just a waste of a sub to them?
Donāt waste your money.
i wouldnāt sub to them my friend who does says they donāt teach you basic stuff like they assume youāre already a rival-duelist calibre player, when in reality the people who would consider subbing to them are much newer than that to arena
I was actually just pondering the same question. After getting absolutely stomped last night trying to heal, Iām looking for some way to improve.
Ya man im stuck between 1550-1725 just up and down in 2s and between 1650 and 1750 in 3s I just canāt seem to push through to 1800 plus right now
guides from cdew, iissham on youtube would serve you much better than skillcapped could
Nah donāt waste your money.
I subbed to them long time ago when I first started playing wow. I unsubbed after a month.
Their guides are no better than the free ones put out by R1 streamers/you tubers. Iāve found the best way to learn is find a streamer of your class thatās high rated and watch their games. A lot of their games. Pvp is all situational, seeing how the top guys react to different scenarios is much more useful than anything else IMO.
The only way to get better is to fall
imo watch r1s that play your class and ask them questions.
Also record your own gameplay and see what you could be doing better.
Do these things instead of subbing to skillcapped.
Also do this
Skill capped used to be pretty solid towards the end of MoP. Somebody gave me their account during S15, and there was just a crap load of content on the website by then. S15 was super long and the last in MoP, so it just had tons of videos, comp specific stuff, etc that just added to game knowledge.
Anyway⦠they have never come close to that amount of content again. Youāll be lucky to find a single up to date guide for your spec, and even still its generally no better than a youtube guide. You āmightā get one solid thing from it. Like an āoh i never thought to use that talent that wayā moment, IF you are lucky.
Overall, they donāt seem to come close to providing enough class specific content to justify paying money - seems like its just 2 or 3 people that canāt pump out enough stuff.
skill capped was actually really good for most of this expansion and later in bfa, they had a lot of really in depth videos about really specific and niche stuff as well as general information
however with this new update they did its not worth it anymore imo the sub used to be like 4 bucks and now itās 13
Skillcapped hasnāt felt worthwhile since Mists. Iāve found it more valuable to find a good and responsive streamer or two, especially considering you can ask them questions.
I asked Borngood because I was curious as to the content on there. I donāt care to throw money at anything thatās going to be useless to me. I asked him if the content on there was going to be beneficial to someone like me who routinely plays at 2400+ and he said there was lots on there. Iām like 99% sure he does Paladin guides on there, but that could mean a lot of stuff.
I think it would be hard to find a guide for your specific comp 99% of the time into X/Y/Z comp. Like I run Owlplay with a paladin, but Owlplay representation is a fraction of something like RMPala or RMPriest so Iām not banking on finding much there if I do decide to sub for a month.
How are you liking owlplay I find it underwhelming compared to rmp or rmpala
Umm, well I canāt run RMP or RMPala as a boomkin soā¦
Lol idk? I like it. Spriest burst is pretty huge and SWD snipes kills off triple starsurge incarn sometimes which is pretty dope I guess. Good cc chains between priest stun into silence into root beam, incap roar, maybe a clone.
