Skill > Gear

It most certainly does. You could have picked any name, but specifically picked one that would rub people the wrong way.

Not sure how that will work out for you as a professional streamer?

Yeah, I’m not really sure how people are finding gear to be this huge issue. I understand if we’re comparing a 197 geared character to a 226 geared character… but these two players would likely never meet in arena, because at 1400 you’re already fully upgraded to 207 ilvl.

This one in particular is the main offense I believe…

I think people are conflating what they think a booster is when it’s in reality a geared RBG player, I mean the mistake happens but we need to call it what it is.

Again I fail to see how this causes any unrest, if folks feel that strongly about the truth then I suppose it’s on them isn’t it? I cannot control how others react after all :man_shrugging:

This idea that really geared RBG players are plaguing lower arena brackets doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. PVP skill in RBGs is directly transferrable to Arena. A 2200 rated RBG player is likely also a 2200 Arena player, ±200 points max.

Do you know what unrest means? I’m not sure you do. If you are posting something, even if it’s true, and it causes unrest, it’s breaking the CoC.

Dude be up in here tryin to subvert our government.

Hmm, I never considered that. Great point Bloomsday! :+1:

Tbh, I think people will naturally find a lot of things to blame but ultimately it should be on them to grow and evolve to become better players.

I’m not sure you do either, notice how I and the person above are having a fruitful conversation while you attempt to derail it.

Notice how you replied to several people about the CoC? I’m on topic because YOU took it there. You can’t derail it if YOU talked about it first.

Wrong

They derailed it first, I responded with the CoC which again you have zero evidence i’ve broken yet you continue to derail it further which is in fact a violation of the CoC.

Then I guess you derailed your own thread! LOL

You played yourself boy🤌🏼

Not at all, here’s the OP incase you missed it btw:

Also, the only “unrest” this thread has caused so far is onto you. Not sure why you’re trying to argue with a 15 year old over an MMO forum, but I guess to each their own

You always use the same emoji. That is also a violation of the code of conduct.

it’s caused me unrest as well, because I feel like your only telling a partial truth from your POV, but won’t look at the full picture.

The thing is no one would know your 15 years old, but you have this need to let everyone know.

15 year old used his mommy’s credit card for the new account

Elaborate on this “full picture”, i’m more than willing to have a civil discussion.

you took your one scenario and said this is how it is for everyone. I feel like this thread is toxic for the community because it has a singular goal to make everyone who can’t hit a certain rating threshold to feel bad about themselves.

I merely said

You can also not use my example and find your own? In my post I outlined how to become competitive ready iLevel as well as my own experiences, people can share theirs but in general I find that skill matters a lot more than gear :man_shrugging:

I suppose if people find it toxic, there’s other threads that say “Gear > Skill” that they might enjoy but this is simply my opinion.

Are we not allowed to have opinions out of the norm now?

You also said to use yourself as an example several times. I can’t even quote it because it hurts my feelings so much. You basically are rating/skill shaming me because I can’t get a 180 ilvl character to 1800, let alone a 209 one.

I agree (kind of)
The system we have now is fine
If youre not dumb youll just spam rbgs for full conquest gear like everyone else.
Its just a matter of farming a ton of honor which does become annoying on alts
That being said, a wod style gearing system would fit better for more of the community.
