I dont think warfront defeats are actually deaths. Otherwise Liadrin and Turalyon would be dead.
I wouldnât expect the big names to die, but these two just feel like canon fodder created as Forsaken just for the warfront.
At least I hope soâŠI donât want to deal with their b.s. after 8.1.
Can you tell me what she says about her reasons? Thanks.
Hell all you need to do to see itâs lazy writing is go look at the cinematics with Jainaâs brother he has a mind of his own and seems to want to just be left and peace and not become an instrument just for sylvanas gain. Itâs sylvanas plot armor loophole if she wants it it is easy. Look at tyrande she would have killed both valkyr and blightcaller if she was allowed the same rules as sylvanas and her forsaken god like powers.
Or maybe Elune isnât all powerful as many claim she is.
I mean this honestly. Elune has no real power, why else would she let the the world tree burn if she was indeed that all mighty.

âYou betrayed me, death is unstoppable, Elune abandoned me, yada yada yadaâ.
Itâs lazy writing.
Itâs bad writing.Welcome to BFA.
This. The only thing that matters is ârule of coolâ, and when the writers are all Forsaken fans that self-insert themselves into lore characters to vicariously live out their waifu dreams things can only go badly.
Past lore no longer matters, consistency no longer matters, how players will receive the story no longer matters. The only thing that matters is getting to live out their personal fanfic.
Iâm of the mind that Sylvanas got tired of the whole âFree-willedâ Forsaken after the Desolate Council incident so sheâs going the full on domination route.
âWhat difference is there between you⊠and the Lich King now?!â
âIsnt it obvious⊠I rule the Horde.â
One thing that puzzles me about relatively important characters like Sira being killed and then brought back as Forsaken - is how easy it seems to be.
This character was a major Alliance leade
Sira was already dissatisfied and becoming disenfranchised work Elune. During the scenarios leasing up to Darkshore she asks a couple times what Elune was doing while her tree was burning. Then Elune allowed Nathaniel to kill her. She was ready to turn. Dalareyn(I donât know spelling) is another issue.
Liadrin too, not that it really matters.
The Warfront leaders are nonsensical and stupid and just further drives home the point that BfA is happy to ignore absolutely every last precedent regarding relative powers and relevance.
As the ultimate veteran of the Alliance, Turalyon should be the Allianceâs answer to Saurfang⊠who we soloed last expansion en route to the hidden Arms Warrior appearance, but randomly needed a raid to beat this time around. Liadrin is much the same. The Deathlord basically took a blender to her face in Legion - now sheâs somehow important enough to merit multiple people fighting her.
In the end, Warfronts, like so many things, just goes to highlight the inane inconsistencies of character capacities - both the player and the NPCs of the world.
Like most mentioned, it just seems like poor writing. But, they really never put too much depth into explanations of things like this.
When she was raised, she mentioned that she felt betrayed by Elune, and I canât remember if she mentioned she was basically disappointed in Tyrande too. Tyrande did up and leave her people while they were being massacred. I wouldnât have much confidence in my leader anymore either.
They couldâve done a 5 minute dialogue where she contemplates life and what not, but they never do that.
Op, did you miss the big burning tree stump in the background?
You mean, their home that the HORDE burned down?
Itâs 100% lazy/poor writing.
âThe Horde murdered innocent people and children when they burned down my home! Oh well, guess Iâll join those same people since Elune didnât stop themâŠâ
There better be a reveal later on that Sira doesnât have free will and is forced to fight for the Horde.
Many people are saying Sira and Delaryn came to hate Elune and Tyrande because they felt they were betrayed or forgotten or forsaken by them.
Yes, that makes perfect sense.
What doesnât make perfect sense is to then go and join the very people that executed the atrocities that caused Sira and Delaryn to lose faith in/hate Elune and Tyrande in the first place.
It would be like if newly-free-willed Forsaken went and said, âHey, those Scourge lead by that Arthas guy that murdered me and everyone I loved and raised me into Undeath? Those are some pretty swell dudes Iâm gonna join 'em!â
The reason the players were able to do this stuff in Legion is because we had super powerful artifact weapons that increased our power several times over.
Well to be fair in Legion we had super powered Artifact weapons. Our Heart of Azeroth and Azerite Armor barely compares.
how to forget when Sylvanas, the renegades and the bastion of ebony joined Arthas voluntarily to exterminate all life .
Nop,That did not happen, his first reaction to recover the free was the revenge against his murderer, who snatched everything, regardless of having lost values ââor even faith.
Sylvanas not,Sylvanas did not start killing Blood Elves, quite the opposite.
If they have free will, it would be sensible to think that they try something against her and the horde, otherwise we have mental control here or a big brainwashing.
I donât know if it even makes sense to chase bread crumbs at this point with the story. When you speak to Sira she tells you she has her own reason for accepting the valâkyrâs gift. Will Blizzard expand on this comment or ignore it? In my opinion there are a lot of little comments in WoW like that never get expanded. Givening that I donât have much hope.
Now to the forsaken, the old forsaken did have free will but the newer ones do not so much, after the events with Godfrey. Now in BFA you see brainwashing going on with the new made forsaken in the war campaign.
Ultimately this can go a few ways but I am wondering if this is a part of the set up for them to bring Calia Menethil into the game along with lightforged undead. There would be something poetic coughs Lich King about Sylvanas helping to build her greatest challengers army.
Arthas literally had Sylvanas, now a banshee, and other banshees attack Silvermoon.
Itâs literally the mission in the Undead campaign of War3 that you specifically get Banshees as a unit and the act of killing Sylvanas that unlocks them.
With mind control, repeat after my mind control of LK,the Same to me,and all Undead.
