Quick question - does the Sinister Squashling Pet only drop from Headless Horsemen? I heard a rumor that one could obtain it from the daily quest in Goldshire (on Ally) as well. Mainly wondering since it seems really hard to acquire and it’s a requirement for Hallowed title AND ultimately the Violet Proto Drake
Yes it’s only from hh and it’s not hard to obtain it drops every 5 or 6 kills I have seen one in every alt for every set of 5 done.
Just pay your group 100 gold each to get the pet if it drops when making the group many people don’t care to get it so are down doing that. Otherwise go with the same people each day and you all will get it.
Not being able to get it is not from it being hard it’s from not working out the many ways to get it with ease.
Actually it’s not, you can get it from the hourly trick or treating, same as the blue helm

Is there anything online that confirms that? I’m only asking here because I scoured wowhead and couldn’t actually find it on the hourly trick-or-treating OR daily “crudely wrapped gift” loot tables
My wife got it from Trick or treating I believe.
I personally got it from the saving goldshire daily
I’ve personally seen guild members get them from it
This was confirmed by a guildmate
In both cases you need the best of the lucks.

I personally received the squashling from trick-or-treating. Same with the Hallowed Helm.
as someone who had over 30 of those damn pets on retail b4 selling and ultimately destroying a bunch to get rid of them, they drop regularly.
i got sinister squashling from trick or treating or apple bobbing i can’t remember which but it was on my 60 death knight so i couldn’t have done HH yet
Come on now, it’s BS that we don’t have the vendor to trade tricky treats for. It’s asinine to set up an achievement gated by the rng drops of something you have to roll off on.

Both the pet and vanity helm have THREE sources to obtain them from. They drop from the HH, the trick or treat bag from innkeepers, and the box from the fires daily.

I just got it from an innkeeper a few minutes ago… and destroyed it. I don’t use useless follow pets. I prefer real ones that fight. I’d happily have put it in the auction house though. Not my fault they made it soulbound.
Drop rate is closer to 4%, you’ve just been exceptionally lucky.

Ive got 3 in trick or treat bags, after getting the first one from HH, but cant seem to get a toothpick…
