But it is something you can gain. Making a bond with a Wild God or Loa isn’t impossible. And considering we are traveling to Ardenweld where Wild Gods and Loa(possibly?) go to await their rebirth. They could bond form a bond with one gaining access to the dream.
Also considering the amount of time the Farstriders in particular have been in Zandalar and Nazjatar. They could’ve learned of a Wild God/Loa That was slain, defeated, banished, take your pick; that now is in Ardenweld.
For Belfs, yes it is. Because they don’t care about anything except their power and how they gain more.
This has been explained time and time again.
And again… Farstriders my be fine living in the forest, but they don’t give two craps about the Dream or Wild Gods. They. Are. Still. Belfs. They will use and twist whatever magic they can to their benefit with no regard for anything else. This was already shown in questlines.
There’s a reason Belfs and Nightborne get along so well. And it’s not because they love the cycle of life and the Dream.

You really typecast the Sin’dorei as only being power hungry and selfish. I feel like out of the horde races they have been one of the most giving. Aiding and leading endeavors when the horde need someone to step up.
And I’d say the bond between the Nightborne and Blood Elves is more in that they know what they are going through. The outcasts were literally dying and withering away because they were cut off from their source of sustenance. There’s even dialog between Thalyssra and Lor’theomar talking about it.
I’ll give you that the Magisters don’t give “two craps” about the Emerald Dream or Druidism. But I doubt that’s true for the Farstriders who are looking to nature instead of back to the arcane for an ally. There’s a reason the Farstrider enclave isn’t found within Silvermoon and why they don’t see eye to eye with Rommath.
You seem to be stuck in the TBC mindset. That was definitely Kael’thas and Silvermoons attitude before. But after the betrayal, the incident at the Sunwell with the Legion, and Mu’ru they definitely changed their tune moving forward. They’ve evolved quite a bit from what you paint them as. The only instance of power hungry we’ve seen lately was Umbric refusing to listen to Rommath about void magic and almost getting himself and his followers killed.
I mentioned that. The re-retconning would be good to happen this day in game with botanists. Which is a better take in my opinion for the blood elf race. A type of mana-nature mage.

Your headcanon does not change their culture and ways. What I described is not as negative as you keep making it out to be.
Again… there’s a reason the Nightborne identified with them more than their closer kin.
That is part of it, but it’s more because the Belfs don’t shun all things Arcane and powerful and new magic studies. They both will use and twist magics together to learn as much as they can and do as much as they can with it.
No. But you are stuck in your own headcanon.
But they still have absolutely no qualms with using power for their own gains and protection. They are grateful for the Sunwell being restored. And they’re not randomly capturing creatures anymore. But they will learn and manipulate magics as they see fit and do not at all match a culture of balance, life cycles and the Dream.
That’s not selfish or power hungry. It’s simply them using and doing what they know best and gaining the ability to become the proud independent and powerful nation they once were. And now they have the Nightborne by their side to learn more.
Which is a whole new class and not a Druid.
Anyway, I’m off to bed. It’s nearly 4am. Nighty night.

I guess I’m just not seeing where they have tracked down any artifacts and used them for their own selfish need and power lust recently. Besides the afore mentioned Umbric. I get Nathanos telling me things like “if only we could use that power…” or “if only that creature could’ve served the horde” etc.
And you’re right, I am slightly biased or as you put it “headcanon” in this discussion because I’m proposing something that seems a logical path for a group of the Sin’dorei.
I think all the races in WoW have this in common.
Many races fit this description though.
- Kul’tirans are using magic twisting it to control the sea and even infuse their vessels with magic as well. Have an artifact that can literally capsize fleets.
- Trolls of all the empires have used dark magic to empower themselves to attempt complete take overs of Azeroth.
- Night Elves have made deals to attain power from the elemental lord of fire.
Without digging through every druidic races past, all of them have acted selfish and power hungry. And even turned on their own to achieve it.
I just don’t see that as being a disqualification for learning druidism and forming a bond with a Wild God or however they achieve it. There are factions within each race that do, follow, practice, many things.
I’d say that seeking out a Wild God in Ardenweld in an attempt to fix their land and to become the independent nation they once were definitely seems like a path they would take. I mean even Xavius found a benefactor, it didn’t turn out well but he found one.
Have a good rest, talk more tomorrow

The Feltotem thought the other tribes were weak and hated the idea of the player wielding the Hammer of Khaz’goroth, that’s the whole reason they sided with the Legion. There’s no logic in them being part of the Horde, and more than likely all of the Feltotem are now dead or in exile anyway.
The Farraki hated the horde. Many of them schemed against us before the zandalari joined the horde… now we are seeing Farraki customization for darkspear trolls.

So A similar situation can happen with the highmountain. Time passes. Lore get’s developed. I could write a short story on how feltotem returned to Highmountain to want to help save Azeroth, a plot about reawakening from defeat, or hideout. Wanting to reconnect with the blood totem that rejoined the highmountain, or perhaps other npcs that joined to sabotage the Legion from within.
The Zandalari were written as having separate groups of zandalari. We did not ally our selves with Zul’s zandalari that have been enemies in the past for example - which many people always state didn’t make sense for the Zandalari to join the horde.
“Hey, Mayla, we’re sorry for joining the demons, becoming demons ourselves, and defiling the spirits and bodies of the dead, but we promise the three of us still in existence will use our powers for good now because reasons”
This is assuming the story team even touches Highmountain as a zone again in the foreseeable future, and something tells me they won’t.
They took a while but they finally added dark iron and zandalari. Which players have wanted forever for subraces. IT might not be fast but I am sure they care enough and they usually put hints in the game for new stuff. We had hints the nightborne would join the Horde in the Argus patch. They tease ahead so if we see the story switching up or bringing old characters those could be hint’s themselves. The kelfin are in the durotar shore for example. That could be a hint they will join the horde as goblin customization.

The most nonsensical one would be “transformer druids”.
Oh, them too. I agree that mechagnomes should’ve had at least one class that normal gnomes don’t, but a biomechanical race having a nature-themed class that somehow turns into fully mechanical animals is one of the most square-peg-in-round-hole combinations I can think of.
I think there’s already one example of this in game: Illidan.
Yeah…and your point would be?
I don’t see the Sin’dorei ever becoming druids because none of them would ever shapeshift out of their beautiful Sin’dorei form. Bear? Ew, no thanks.

You need to broaden your imagination my dear. You’re playing a fantasy game in which lore changes and evolves all the time. Be a little more creative and open minded. Not all members of a race are automatons that follow the same doctrine, belief system, or share the same spiritual connections.
All things can happen if a creative writer wishes it to happen. I’m suggesting a path to it. You site “druid” lore all you like but lore in this game is always evolving and changing. I personally enjoy an evolving story world rather than being stuck in the same old hum drum boring narrative.

If I could like your post a million times I would!!.
Finally someone that understands what a RPG is… not every character has to follow the same path…why can’t people understand this?.

Sure, break that boundary so that the horde can finally be 100% Blood Elves.
