Seriously folks, enough with the name calling and aggressive posting towards each other.
Yes, there is no proof that someone is a bot, and frankly a lot of the accusations on the Auction House tend to be wrong. However, if someone has a suspicion and wants to know what they can do to report it, they should be able to ask for that information without all of whatever the heck happened here.
Tinkertrain, I haven’t gone though the entire thread yet, but to answer the question you can email Hacks@blizzard.com if you suspect someone is exploiting.
I do want to point out a few things.
- That team does keep an eye out for automation, including things being processed faster then they should be able to on their own or with an addon.
- It is a one way reporting method. They will not be able to provide any information regarding your reports and it is possible you may be wrong. Accusations fly around all the time and we have looked into many of them and found nothing amiss. We are not able to generally share details of our investigations or results.
- Investigations can take several weeks to several months as the goal in a lot of cases if exploitation is determined, is to figure out how they are doing what they are doing and how to catch those using it, including those not reported.
