I hope so!
The VEs canât look like full HEs though, with the Entropic Embrace racial not being toggle-able appearance wise.
But instead the gave the Horde the HE eye color as well, when HEs have been a part of every Alliance event.
Which means, the BEs are entitled to NOTHING. They got the HEs, Ally got second half abominations. Plus BEs got some VE facial hairs too
The Horde still has it better.
And sheâs writing you from a Vulpera, acting like the Horde have received nothing lol
Horde shouldâve received Gil Goblins.
blood elves canât have nice things before factions are somehow even, blizzard doesnât want them to be a bigger chunk of overall players
VE customization was done to make the high elf club happy a while ago. I doubt they saw it as a slap in the face to the horde. Does the dev team actually think about the reaction to their actions?
Blizz has since seen the writing on the wall and knows cross faction is a must with their smaller and splintered customer base. Once we have cross faction guilds we can look back and say they missed the mark with VE customization. Yes at the time it was to create âHigh Elvesâ for alliance, but we will be asking why we didnât get more voidy customizations.
I play a Frost Death Knight, I am no stranger to unhappiness.
But in all seriousness, Blood Elves should be angry, but I think most are angry for the wrong reasons. I think Belf players should be mad that they got royally screwed over in the customization sweep. They got inclusive skin colors, a couple hairstyles, and a ring around their arms.
My issue is with Belf players who seem to be angry for the wrong reason. Who cares that Void Elves got skin colors and hair colors, which frankly, arenât even unique to you guys. Sure it loosens race identity, but I think they should do that MORE for more races. Undead human/night elf/blood elf models. Night Elf hair colors for Nightborne. Other stuff too. I just think people are too mad about Void Elves getting natural options
The only reason we got the blue was because of our history. Shared appearances do not create a unique look. There should be enough introduced to both to make them unique. Velves that like to look like Velves also lost out in the customization pass.
Belf men got some facial hair but have some of the fewest customizations.
We donât have it better, we have it the same.
Blood Elves are High Elves the eye color is a small addition to main theme BEs already have.
Neither does one eye color a theme make or theyâd have never asked for options outside of a single eye color themselves for the aesthetic / theme they wanted.
I donât think itâs angry. Iâm not angry. I just hope for better. I want both Velves to get some cool Velf looks and Belves to get some cool different looks too.
I think there can be ways of doing it that gives unique looks where no one feels ripped off.
I think they can give enough variety. Because fan art has done it very well. People have made great suggestion threads for all Thalassian Elves. And there is some overlap in similar looks, but thereâs also enough to set everyone apart as well.
A celebration of similarities and different paths as well.
I agree, and find that argument so odd. Velves started with a blue ish tint to their eyes anyway, so if it encompassed a whole theme by itself nothing else would have been needed.
I donât know who needs to be told this but differing eye, hair. or even skin colors donât suddenly make a new race, even in the Warcraft setting. Magâhar and ânormalâ Orcs are the same race.
The different race when it comes to Thalassian elves would be the Void Elves as, like the Felblood Elves, their physiological makeup was changed due to oversaturation of a specific type of magic. They are now somewhere between a Blood Elf and a Void Ethereal.
Nightborne technically blew it up since that was done by the Highborne who are now Naga/Satyrs and Nightborne?
The Alliance Night Elves until BFA consisted of the peasantry of Night Elf society who had nothing to do with inviting the Legion.
Not gonna lie. BfA and Teldressil especially really hurt my enjoyment of being a horde main for a long time
Not the Nightborne as they were a group that saw what was going on with Azshara and the demons and collectively said âNOPEâ and domed up.
It all makes sense when you remember that a certain section of the fanbase wants to erase blood elves from the game entirely and replace them with the âcorrectâ version of high elves that exists only in their heads
Makes it worse when it was confirmed that most of the Blizzard staff argued vehemently against it - but Afrasiabi was hellbent on it + the idea of vilifying Sylvanas as much as ludicrously possible along with it all.
Yeah and its clear the current writers donât know what to do with it and after trying to ignore the matter entirely are now going full speed ahead with a pretty tasteless redemption arc to try and get things back as close as possible to the status quo.
Me too. It still rankles. I feel so betrayed by Blizzard, betrayed as a player, and as a Horde Main.
I will never forgive them for that. Games are intrinsically meant to be fun.
lets just do another timetravel expansion to undo the jailerâs influence and restore the âtrueâ timeline.
That person ⊠I wonât say what I want to.
