Blizz can’t decide if they want Sin rogues to be poison based or bleed based, so now instead of having a decent spec with have 2 specs within a spec.
They need to go full into one side. With all the classes having access to poisons and shiv why not just make the class about bleeds and dots and make exsanguinate not dookie. Mastery needs to be more in favor of bleeds.

i really hope they make some changes soon

There’s all kinds of things wrong with this spec. Off the top of my head…
Exanguinate should be baseline since Shiv is. Both are small cooldowns that increase their damage type’s damage. We have so many boring talent choices that are things that should just be baseline…
Our damn big cooldowns should not be for a single target. Shadow Blades or adrenaline are both stronger and buff the rogue themselves, allowing target swapping. Vendetta needs to be a buff or it needs to do more, or have a shorter cooldown since it’s limited to one target.
We need cut to the chase back since of all 3 specs we have the worst energy returns, we can’t afford to keep refreshing SnD.
We have to sweat all over our keyboard to do good aoe and we still just lose to every other class pressing one button over and over.
Why do we need to spend a talent point to have an AoE combo point spender? Neither Outlaw or Sub have to.
There needs to be interesting and fun things that happen when we actually pull off our core skills. Outlaw and Sin are both in this terrible spot where their skills are all boring and simply exist to put numbers on the screen. When I get procs as Frost mage I feel like I’m actually doing something. When I get hot streaks as fire mage it’s actually fun seeing pyroblasts chain and stuff.
This spec feels poorly thought out and all the people from 2008 still praising it are giving blizzard the wrong ideas.
There are specs in other classes that don’t even feel like you’re playing the same game while Sin is a boomer spec with poor class fantasy and it’s making me regret resubbing.

Bump, I love rogue and I was forced to play sin in bfa and outlaw sucked then and even now. Sub is my main and I’m glad it’s doing better but rogues need help all around. Like you said it’s a class identity problem and there are also number tunings that need to be done. And after that, remove secret technique as a talent and buff black powder to do more damage than it does now and preferably at the same level as ST, if a bit lower then that works too.

Cut to the chase absolutely does not need to return.
Sin is already easy to play.
So what?
All I heard about around here was SnD was OP and with the energy buff it was going to be craaaazy.
Well here we are, week 2 and sin feels borderline unplayable unless maybe you have your meters turned off and your group doesn’t ask you why the tank is doing more damage than you.
If you can live like that, sure enjoy sin, but I’m amazed we are at this point and people still can’t get over the fact SnD still feels bad when it’s crammed into a rotation that has already felt incredibly smooth.
I don’t remember anyone saying that.
I remember people saying SnD would be fine rotation wise and it is.
Sins current issue is just numbers tuning.
It felt “smooth” because it was literally a 3 button rotation.
This is why you should never limit yourself to one spec.

As i can see in this thread, SnD was only a welcoming addition to Sub and maybe outlaw, no one asked it for assassination, it’s the opposite, people were saying that SnD was bad for Sin early on.
Imo blizz only brought SnD back for Sin probably because of recuperator, there’s no thought behind it, just poor game design.
I was asking for SnD back for sin as well as a. Lot of other rogues. Just search SnD on the forums.

I can only see that most people are going against SnD for Sin on the forums, not for it.
You’re probably alone on your quest to ruin Sin for some personal reason.
Recently maybe but if you look back it’s actually people asking for it to return.
I’m not trying to ruin sin. I’m trying to make it less brain dead.
I looked back in that official post by blizz on the classes feedback in Beta, only see people against SnD for Sin, I think you should go back and look for it.
Addind SnD doenst make Sin a complicated Spec, far from it, it only adds another maintenance buff that you slap a Weakaura to it and forgeit about it for 25 seconds until it needs to be casted again, it’s boring, uninspiring, annoying, out of place, shouldn’t of returned. Proof that SnD was bad, even blizz tried to make it better back in the days by adding a refreshing mechanism to it baked into Envenom.
If you like complicated spec for no reason at all, go play Sub and leave Sin for people that like the spec.
Yea 3 buttons like mut, garrote, rupture, envenom, shiv…
Wait a minute I haven’t even gotten to SmD yet and I’m already at 5 buttons without CDs or talents…
If SnD doesn’t complicate the spec then stop complaining.
Sins issue isn’t SnD. It’s poorly tuned damage.
The core rotation is 3 buttons
I listed the core rotation, what part of those abilities isn’t core to you?
Mut rupture envenom are the core.
You use shiv/ garrote as needed.
You have serious interpretation issues, friend.
No one is saying that SnD complicates the spec, it makes the spec clunky to play, it doesn’t fit into the rotation, it’s a boring ability, is that so hard to understand?
By that logic you only use rupture when needed…
that makes literally zero sense. You’re smarter than this.

That’s your opinion and it’s not one I agree with.
SnD isn’t clunky at all unless you just started playing rogue in the last 3 expacs.
