Silenced Players Can’t Apply to Groups?

Blizzard has to personally review you before, the silence of this degree goes into effect. So you have nothing to worry about if you’re not ACTUALLY toxic.

Wait what happened to my post? I didn’t get any notice about any of my posts?

Dude I agree with you, but you are clearly like 14… Reign it in and learn how to express your thoughts like a normal adult.

It’s not punishable for that offense. If you started linking to posts of some exploit on all the forums maybe, but not someone complaining about a punishment.

go read what the CoC says about discussing account actions.

Don’t get silenced.

I suggest you do the same, nothing in there punishes other people for responding to a post on the forums, or even linking to it.

Ye I got silenced for literally no reason and it’s now the most annoying thing ever. I think I got mass reported for not inviting people to my mythic+ listing. Why would they put an automatic ban hammer in the game?

Hmm checks out

Ye I got silenced for declining ppl from my M+ and them mass reporting me because they were mad abt it.

If you feel badly done by.

Orrrrr… It was the group listing title/description/crap you said to them if they whispered you…

unless teh number 15 and a blank description is offensive to someone idk abt taht. And I don’t respond to ragers.

Sorry but if you whisper someone because you where declined, you probably don’t really deserve a “polite” answer.

Well they can’t get you magically silenced that easily, so I’m going to assume there’s more to the story, like usual.

Also, did you actually verify that that is what you were banned for? They will almost always tell you in the email and highlight what was reported. I know this because I’ve been banned/silenced a few times in the past for losing my cool in LFR when chat gets out of control.

Point is, you’ll know exactly what and why you were banned if you read the email.

If someone rages at me, sure. But two wrongs don’t make a right and you’re still able to be punished, even if they started it first.

There is a difference between “not being polite” and being a dick. I can walk the line just fine.

That’s what everyone thinks, until they get actioned for witty wording that isn’t an obvious direct insult or banned word.

If you dont think this is going to get abused, youre insane.

You didn’t get mass reported.

People regularly talk in trade chat in a way that at least slightly violates the Code of Conduct (just like how IRL everyone goes a few mph over the speed limit) and the rules only get enforced against those who make the straight white male majority feel butthurt enough to report. If you try to appeal, the GMs will only check to see if you technically violated the rules; they don’t care at all about proportional justice or whatever

I have a bunch of battle pets that I had to rename to something like “Lock Trump Up” or “Trump is a Bigot” because it was the only way to express myself after I kept getting silenced for talking in trade chat about how much Trump sucks while people who believed the opposite was true (probably most WoW players due to how demographically homogenous the playerbase now is) were allowed to just keep sounding off. I got silenced six times in 2017 and once in early 2018 and then never again, probably mostly because I stopped playing. If I get silenced again it will be for 4 months unless they changed how the system works. Obviously that isn’t fair
