Silenced or "Squelched" due to mass reporting

I was squelched in game for killing horde and a guild (who were friends with the horde) mass reported me for it and now i’m silenced for no good reason… Could I have this removed?

If it is a squelch, then it is awaiting review by a GM.

If it is a silence, then the GM has already reviewed the reports and applied the action.

The only thing you can do is appeal it via ticket.

I’ve put in a ticket… Estimated wait time however is nearly a week and it makes the game borderline unplayable I guess i’ll have to deal with it or hope something happens here.

There are no GMs on the Forums.

Appeals are only handled via ticket.

I just hope punishment exists for false reporting

The current ticket time is 1 day 17hrs if your silence is for a week this isnt your first offense silence isnt for killing another player your clearly saying something repeatedly thats getting u reported and silenced which doubles every single time.

My current ticket wait time says 5 days. I’m not refering to any silence duration and no you’re entirely wrong I’ve said nothing offensive or derogatory that could have potentially warranted a silence.

If you are squelched, then it is awaiting a GM to verify if a penalty should happen or not. If the reports that got you squelched are without merit, then you will not be silenced by the GM. If you are silenced, then you would have received an email telling you the reason and a link on where to submit an appeal. If that is what you did, then you must wait on the ticket to be answered as there is nothing that posting on the forums can do to speed it up or bypass it.

i feel like there’s more to this… you may want to have a think about what you said in chat.

Doesn’t need to be derogatory to warrant a silence.

If you have received a silence, then a GM has investigated and added the silence. Otherwise the squelch would have been removed.

Often times we get folks in here who think this, or thereabouts. Too often we learn this is very far from the case once one of SFAs pop in to say as such, so I would be mindful of this. Also, you may not think it to be offensive or derogatory, but you do not get to dictate what is or isn’t for another person. I would imagine you were saying something for them to have something clickable to report you for.

I will also add that if you are 100% correct in what you’re saying here, since I haven’t seen it stated otherwise? The staff absolutely will go after folks for mass-reporting falsely. The system is not perfect, but people who abuse it do not get away scot-free.

You were not squelched for killing Horde.

Just to clear on that point. If you were talking trash, using perhaps /s or something, then that is a different story.

All you can do is await your appeal or for it to run its course if it is upheld.

How many times someone has come here and said that and been proven wrong. If I only had a dollar for every time I would be doing good. If you did get a silence check your mail as you should get a notification with some of the details and exactly what you said to get it.

Either way you can play just fine with a silence or a squelch , You just can not talk to anyone in game.

I see you have an appeal open, and this will be reviewed.

This doesn’t appear to have anything to do with who you killed but your behavior, demanding a ‘toll’ or interference with game mechanics.

We’ll just let the GMs sort it out when they review your appeal - but no - killing folks is is NOT why you were reported.
