People were always yelling and upset, especially during Black Friday
“Why don’t you have this item in stock it’s in your ad!”
“It sold out this morning, we’ve been open since 6am” (now 12pm)
“When are you getting more?!”
“It’s a Black Friday special”
“I’m going to another store then!”
It’s still 12pm on Black Friday, everything is sold out at this point lol.
ALSO admitting fault is probably not what you want to do, that’ll just give forum nerds more ammo. Staying silent is the best play because eventually players will give up (in 10.0), besides people like me who never forget and continue to bring things up forever
Return Pre-WoD zoom out distance
Fix scaling
Return Heirloom xp to heirlooms
Asking for an apology in this case seems pretty creepy and control freakish to me.
As it stands, you can’t get a slime cat in lfr. Don’t like it? Too bad.
What I really don’t get is why there’s this “uproar” over the losing mounts from the poll (this, and the mage tower book), but never a word about the many, many, many PvP mounts that come and go every season and are never available ever again.
My guess is because these were voted on by the players and as such like the dumb tree they should be given to the players the pvp stuff was never voted on so why care about those.
It’s expected. We all (well, most of us) know AotC and pvp elite gear and CE for M raids, KSM mounts, will be gone at certain points but people didn’t know that about the slime mount. Since it is the first of its iteration (fated mount).
Now that we know, there shouldn’t be any QQ in the future
You guys just better start budgeting gold for a normal carry each xpac
I was looking at this and the mage tower thing as a pair, though. There was no “last second” mage tower change, but if anything the uproar was bigger than this.
Many people who prefer solo and queue-able content, myself included, renewed our subscriptions just prior to Season 4 believing we would be able to earn the mount through LFR, as it was in stated as being available on any raid difficulty in the achievements that were present in the live game (not the PTR) until just prior to S4’s launch.
I’m giving Blizzard the benefit of the doubt, that this change was simply a mistake listed in the achievements. But I gave them my subscription money believing- based on the information they provided me- that there would be a new reward for me to get while doing my preferred type of content. Obviously, that’s not the case, as Kaivax clarified a few days before S4.
Given that I and many others gave them my money based on an expectation they created, I would appreciate them acknowledging that the achievement was worded incorrectly, apologizing for creating false expectations for the season because of that wording, and either adding the mount to LFR or explaining why they feel it’s important to leave the requirements as normal+. It may not change anything, but I still believe it’s the responsible thing to do.
It’s not wrong that the mount is only available in normal+, it’s wrong that they misled people, even unintentionally.
It’s probably the best move to not change it because if it is their intention that it is normal+ then it will lead to confusion in the future. Keeping it like this removes that potential confusion but we’re wow players so we’re going to complain forever
Blizzard will never own up to this, similar to how they never owned up to previous things. They literally owned up to the alliance hall of fame for the sole reason of they knew it would of seriously damaged the game if they rolled back achievements by manually closing the hall of fame and taking them away from the players that got it past 100.
The mount is trivial enough that they justified what they did and how their acting currently. Given normal is completely achievable, yet far from the friendship moose they wanted to try to sell it as.
