Silence on Slime Cat

You didn’t get garbage. If you choose not to engage in gameplay modes that rewards you with the rewards you want, that’s for you to work out.

Nah LFR doesn’t need mounts. LFR was a mistake on Blizzard’s part in the first place tbh.

it may be best for your 90 year old arthritic self if you took a break form the game and saw your grandchildren before you are fully blind.

Other thing I wish to point out. You have people angry, fuming at Blizzard for this last minute change, you think throwing more money at them is what they’re thinking?

And then on the other spectrum, you have those that actually buy the boost but are not angry, either by not caring about the last minute change (those buying aotc/ce anyway) or by just being oblivious that people thought it was gonna be LFR. But in both cases, again, what does Blizzard gain from maliciously changing it last minute?

Perhaps they can make LFR normal difficulty or at least the option of having it normal difficulty.

I think a lot of people showing their anger now will buy the cat on the downlow.

I’m paying for the cat in a round about way even after I said I wasn’t. My sub is up in less than a week. I will probably resub to get the cat.

Again, for the 20th time, I disagree.

The notion that Blizzard’s business model relies on their players being so bad at the game, that they have to pay others to play it for them… is absurd.

Then why wait last minute to change it if they’re gonna boost either way?

Returning players, I would assume.

Or they can just give the mount to LFR like it was supposed to be.

Wrong and wrong.

The game was not better when small percantages of the player base got to raid

It is a political issue, they will never admit a mistake unless it is too catastrophic (such as causing monetary losses) since according to PR they would give a bad image and empower the opinion of the players.

Or you can just do the raids and stop begging for something that was never, ever going to be.

Classic was never ever going to be.

Hmm

Enjoy your garbage patch, suffer like the rest of us

lmao I’m having a great time in s4 bruh

Okay, then I’ll break it down.

They wouldn’t buy the six month sub only for the mount so long as it’s accessible through LFR, because the six month sub comes with another mount on top of that as well as game time at a better per month cost than do smaller chunks of sub time. It’s not only the cat that would make them consider it, but several things as well as the cat.

Yes, you could do that, and it would offer blizzard more money than would a regular month of subscription fee.

You’re not subbed for the sole purpose of getting the mount, you’re subbed because you want the mount in addition to other things that come with staying subscribed, the mount among them. And I think the state of the world as it is should stand as argument enough that human beings are prone to making poor long-term financial decisions.

You’re not subbed for the sole purpose of getting the mount, but in this case you would have been jebaited by blizzard into buying the six months with the expectation that it would actually be available in LFR because they didn’t issue the “correction” until after the added incentive of the six month subscription was out. So what you do is complain on the forums, play the game in a way you initially might not have wanted to in order to get it, play the game normally and be largely disaffected by the change despite it now being beyond you, or just cancel your subscription.
There are more options, of course, but to list them all would take years and novels worth of text because you could do literally anything.

There are probably people that do this.

There are probably people that do this.

Ignoring the fact that they make no mention of the change anywhere before it’s released or even so much as restart the servers, nothing at all to draw any eye to it. They go on never to mention it again beyond the first because the best they could give in response to it is an apology, and all that would do is chum the waters for the social sharks to splash by and nip at them, leaving them yet more damaged that they would have been had they simply said nothing more at all.

Yes.

It’s probably the one thing they can do to look better in this case, but I reckon the bump in public approval would proffer less monetary gain than would potential token and sub sales.

ROFL

Goes back to what I said.

Returning player : ooh I get this mount and I can also do all this stuff, might stick until DF

Returning player : what the hell, they bait and switched, ain’t no way I’m staying!

They gain nothing from it and yet they’re still doing it. Why?

Yet that’s when their sub count was at their highest.

I dunno, maybe because of the wild notion that not every player so jebaited is going to demand a refund over a mount’s accessibility.

Actually there was. The first articles about fated stated the mount was gonna be the normal fated reward. Why did they name the achievement any? No idea.

But calling it malicious is kinda cynical.

The big thing that is lost here, is that the vast majority of ppl who play LFR, do not, or can not play normal. People make all these assumptions, and just “get er done” mentality, but the simple fact is, regardless of the multitude of scenarios related to it, players do not want to do normal, and the data actually support that, and is why I believe they added slime cat to only normal and above, to pad a data point for executives to be happy there’s still raiders.

People don’t want to raid normal, and instead of asking why, people just blame them, and the community continues to bleed. Why wouldn’t somebody want to do something?
Its either not fun, the reward isn’t good enough, but I lean more towards the former. People aren’t exactly gung ho about the biggest end game content. People look over this because they feel triangles should fit into square pegs in this game, or you just don’t get to play, but what about a game actually being fun/enjoyable? Isn’t that the most important thing?
