Shrine of Seven Stars Stormwind portal BROKEN?

Not sure what happened but if you take the portal to Stormwind from Shrine of Seven Stars (Golden Lantern) it will put you in the old Dalaran Crater and you will fall to your death. It was quite the surprise to me :rofl:

Geebus… Blizz really hates when people take that Stormwind portal! The one in Caverns of Time was dumping people into the ocean. Now this? lol

Also: make sure you put this in Bug Reports.

Yeah, I know…I was looking at my other monitor while stuck at a loading screen and didn’t expect to fall it caught me off guard :rofl:

Not just the portals. I had an Alliance toon try to use his Garrison Hearthstone, only to end up falling through a pinkish void somewhere over Draenor. After trying everything else, I was forced to use the ‘Stuck Character’ function.

They must be trolling us. No one could be that incompetent.

Yeah, I had a similar experience. I used Stormwind Portal in Tanaris, but instead I got teleported to the fatigue water near Badlands.

No clue what happened.

They should cover their butts by weaving it into the narrative.
“Xal’atath is using the void to disrupt teleportation all over Azeroth! Oh no!”

With all this portal issues and no sign of fixing them I guess they are trolling the players… seeing posts like this and laughing at people or what?

How this didnt get fix yet? it’s day 2.

Yep, happened to me two days ago. Also happened again this morning making a new Kul Tiran DK. The portal from the DK starting spot “The Gateway” dropped me there too LOL… had to rez at Dun Algar and Hearth to SE trade district.

They can’t fix the current release and they’re already pushing new bugs to the PTR.

I had this portal to badlands experience happen yesterday as well.

Just to ask the stupid question, are you sure it was just the Stormwind portal there, and not an Old Dalaran portal dropped on top by a Mage? Have you been able to recreate this scenario?

I recently used my stormwind teleport cloak and ended up in the middle of Gilneas.

That is rather odd…

Well at least I haven’t had issues with the Orgrimmar portals.

I don’t feel like testing this, but it seems to be…

  • Shrine of Seven Stars portal to SW sends you to Dalaran Crater;
  • Alliance Caverns of Time portal to SW sends you to Burning Steppes;
  • Garrison Hearthstone can send you off the map.

The portal rooms seem to be safe.

The portal in Tanaris dumps my Alliance alt in the middle of the ocean in Swamp of Sorrows instead of Stormwind, so doesn’t surprise me.

The caverns of time one throwing me into the ocean had me praying it was blizzard trying to be funny and make a joke cause if a tuning patch breaks the game that bad genuinely why are we paying for this game lol
