Shouldn't my Trust Level be Higher?

I’m a guild master for a guild on Moon Guard and I really need to be able to have the trust level 3 to link to our forums so people can actually apply and join. This is one of the largest methods we have to attracting people to join our guild and with the new “trust level” feature, I am unable to do this.

I’ve been posting on the forums for years and others are saying their trust levels are very high. After doing the work around someone posted in the green text forum to check mine, it seems like mine has been reset. Any way to fix this?

Don’t think there is under this new system, but participate in the forums, you should have that level soon.

The trust levels are all automatic based on a number of criteria. If you can’t post links to external websites, you will need to enclose the URL in ` symbols.

Example: google.com

That’s not true. It takes 100 days of activity. That’s requesting guild masters like myself to wait basically a third of the year before we can do these things :<

Another option was provided.

Trust levels are not just granted or there would be no reason for them.

While your purpose is a good natured request imagine what somebody could do with that.

You can also try spelliing out your site.

Website dot Com or dot CA or whatever the case may be

While they’re not going to be able to Grant you a different level of trust, your recruits should be able to copy and paste the URL into their browser.

I’d be second guessing any recruits that are unable to do even that :wink:

Prior to that one response by Terise, we couldn’t post links at all. If you try it tells you you cannot do that.

Oddly shouldn’t my trust level be higher anyway? I’ve been using the forums for years, but it was set back to 0 and says I have like no posts >.>

Edit: I’ve edited the intention of the post to bring alarm to this, I’m sure im not the only one.

Everyone’s starting from scratch in the new forums with the exception of some greens and the Blues of course.

It should take 15 days of visiting the forums to get to level 2.

Folks on my realm forums. They’re posting youtube links and blizzard links. That’s a level 2 feature.

there is also a limit on how many NEW posts someone can make which i dont understand because it says im NEW when im far from new

Do you happen to have an example of a thread where someone has posted a link? I took a look on your forums, but didn’t see any with a cursory glance.

I can’t show you directly because links don’t work unfortunately but if you check out “that new forum smell” on the moon guard forums a few people have posted hyperlinks.

I’m currently Trust Level 1, but I can post links to YouTube videos.

It appears as though there are some trusted websites that can be linked directly without the ` workaround.

Can confirm . Terise is definitely only Trust Level 1

@Terise is there any other videos URLs that work ? Is it only youtube.com ?

Looks like the players in the Moonguard forum are also just trust level 1 as they’re only linking to youtube and the WoW forums/site.

It may be that they’re letting players use the links already or it may also be an oversight. Guess we’ll see!

There’s been reports of level 1s being able to post/embed links. It’s not known yet if it’s an oversight or intended. Or if there’s a safe list of sites, even.
