Whether it’s because it’s a pug vs premade or numerical advantage you are in an unwinnable situation. So it’s the same.
And? The 40 man team is better than the 10 man team. The point of BG’s is to theoretically create as even an initial set up as possible, also why blizzard fixed it to not pop queues until both sides had enough number, no reason the same logic doesn’t apply to premade vs pug.
Actually the solution is quite simple, queue as a group, join as a group and the queue system tries to match pre mades vs other premades. Problem solved, noone has to reroll, noone is forced into premades.
They do do it in retail, the system both tries to match premades with other premades and joining as a group is enforced so you can’t queue dodge, they also broke add ons that enable people to try to solo queue simultaneously and get the same queue.
The most a premade can have is a 5 man. Those are matched against other 2-5 mans. No, there’s no specific solo queue in retail, but it’s far more friendly for those who want this kind of bg play.
It’s not a pure solo queue, but it does at least try to enforce it. And chances are if you are seeing a partial or total premade on the other team there’s at least also a partial premade on your team.
I cannot speak for the experience on other servers, but on Bonechewer there was almost nothing but roll groups.
Essentially you joined a pre-made or you were going to be a pug in a partial pre-made.
When the CRBG’s came out the level of PVP that we were use too was very different from the CRBG experience.
CRBG’s lowered the bar for the quality of PVP players that I was accustom to doing battle VS. Essentially the horde I was now fighting were crap and the alliance I was in a group with if I joined a pug were also crap.
For me if it’s all pre-mades, then this will be very normal.
If this gets implemented EXACTLY as you’re saying this would solve the major problems. The thing about this is, if this goes unchecked in classic, the whole rank 13 to 14 mafia will be another pest to deal with once again and more importantly below average skilled twitch streamers will use their guild fanclubs as cannon fodder to take deserter to check if they have to fight another premade or a free win vs a pug for their full premade. Their are a lot of twitch streamers I know for a FACT will do this method 100%. A peanut headed NELF warrior, a 300+ pound Ret Paladin, and a undead shadow priest who sounds like Shane Diesel went to town on his vocal cords comes to mind.
If you not even going to put in any effort because you are losing you are part of the reason you won’t win if you ghost or afk to long you should be auto kicked you are not participating you should be kicked
Spoil sports I’m losing I’m not going to play lol
Dam new age gamers
In my opinion the only problem is allowing premades to send in scouts to avoid other premades. The solution is to implement an increasing deserter effect.
Once one member of a group enters a BG, every other member that doesn’t enter that BG should immediately be hit with a deserter debuff. And anyone who enters a BG and leaves prematurely more than once every 24 hours should keep getting 30 minutes added to their debuff. The debuff modifier should reset after 24 hours straight of no deserter debuff.
This allows premades to do their thing, but stops them from gaming the system and avoiding difficult matches. Premades are not entitled to smash pugs endlessly without ever having to face each other, and pugs are not entitled to never having to fight premades, but pugs are not in the game solely to feed the honor and egos of premades.
Vanilla had far worse class balance. It’s just unnoticed because it’s a pug steamrolling competition and not about defeating the strongest opponents possible. You don’t need to master the game when your opponents already have zero chance of winning if you are just decked and above average. That would be like if the NFL was about how many ametur teams you can destroy in the season that determined the national champions and not beating the pro teams. You do need to be good to succeed as a premade, but the skill requirement is FAR LOWER to get rank 14 than to get Merciless Gladiator. It’s a FACT that you need more skill for glad.

Except the minimum amount of skill needed to get gladiator is unimpressive. If you think arenas are better because the skill floor minimum is better then that says quite a bit about the difference in our positions.
