Should we all quit?

I don’t need to name anything. My “dead” server is locked from transfers, and I don’t have a queue.

FOMO transfers ruined servers, but that is customer interaction with a paid service.

The only leg that’s worth standing on was when RDF was confirmed not in the game (by Blizzard), and more FOMO transfers occured.

Blizzard should have stepped up LONG ago to manage this before it got to this point.

instead they selected to allow the many servers to die so they could take 25 bucks from anyone who wanted to keep raiding instead of being alone on a Dead server.

If you transferred to a dead server then that would be just idiotic… If you transferred to a server who’s population was not growing, again you’re an idiot for doing so.

Blizzard manufactured this problem; its their responsibility to fix it.

So you have absolutely no knowledge of the prior servers being made after large ques, how they died and blizzard abandoned those players for half a year. You just want to come here and blame players when you don’t have a clue about the issue. Thanks for stopping by bud.

Just another “ its not my problem but its your fault” goofball.

I don’t think we should all quit, just 5591… 5584… 5580 of us quit.
5576.

Let’s see. Microsoft was offering $68.7 Billion to buy Blizzard Activision.

I can see how you angrily waving your $15 would strike fear into them.

I realize I’m talking to someone that played SOM, which is Dead on Arrival.

Yes, they opened and closed many servers. Yes, we have been force transferred. Yes, they didn’t intervene in time.

No, it is not there job to intervene and make decisions for you. They can’t keep your credit card in your wallet.

It’s unfortunate that problem has made it this far, but the solution is in place, and it’s people that come to to complain that need to use it most.

Super ignorant take man, if you’re pissing off the customers (I am not one of the angry ones) but there many that are, and if they quit their friends see less familiar faces and the game goes into decline.

When that happens the investment MS made is failing and they’re unlikely to be happy about that.

No you’re talking to someone whos played since vanilla, who played on whitemane on launch. Whos been on two free to transfer servers and had to pay twice to leave because they died completely and no other option was given. This is a fake solution that has been presented many times in the past, you just were completely unaware. Do some research.

Consider this. Let’s imagine that all 108 posts were from unique players (clearly not true): even after the huge drop in subs over the last ten years, if this meant that 5,000 subs would be lost world wide, is that a big deal?

And also consider this: the Classic brand is not a core profit stream. Think of the giant disparity in investments between Wrath classic and Dragonflight. Despite how you see things, retail IS the bread and butter of this game. Any money Classic brings in is just a bonus.

Not to mention that, in terms of the whole BA catalog, WoW is far from the anchor in terms of revenue.

Your complaints must be silly to them, if they are even aware.

Its the only one that seems to be popular enough to have actual players playing it right now…

D3 is dead, Wow Retail is dead, WC3-RF is dead, SC is dead, Overwatched is dead…

Literally the only truly active content Blizzard (not activision) has right now is WarCraft Classic and for now they still have Diablo CC edition.

Its in their best interest

to not screw it up.

So what other sources of cash does Blizzard studio have going for it?

It sure as heck is not Retail, WC3rf, Overwatched, or Hearthstone or D3, because those are presently dead games.

Well, for the reading impaired, I said the BA catalog. For Blizzard activision this year, Candy Crush alone was the source of 51% of total BA earnings in 2nd quarter 2022. As far as the business is concerned, they will milk PC and console as long as they can, but that is the past. Mobile gaming is the future they see, and if you look at the industry as a whole, they are correct, and actually they are probably 7-10 years behind.

Again, see and accept reality. WoW isn’t important. You aren’t important to them (unless you’re playing on your phone.)

I don’t have queue times, why would I quit?

It’s what I’ve been telling people here, blizz never learns till subs tank. Period.

I haven’t had queues where I’m at, but my fairbanks characters were sent to sulfuras and good luck playing there. I won’t be bothering or paying anything extra to move them.

Short answer - no

Long answer - yes

You first.

Then deal with it.

You are playing WoW Classic.

Sounds like you’ve made up your mind. The queues will settle down eventually.

I’m sorry you don’t accept Blizzards solution, I can’t change that. If you don’t want the queues, there’s an option available for you.

Please do.

Grobb is the only server that I have sympathy for.

Non-RP servers never should have gotten free transfers to it, and if the RP server rules were actually enforced, many of the players would leave (or be banned, either way works).

Already canceled my sub, unfortunately it has a few months still pre-paid.

This content is the only thing AVB has going for it, and they’re screwing the pooch. They’re standing on the shoulders of giants so to speak and can’t even figure out how to eliminate 4 hour queues. I hope more people have some self-respect, as a customer and as people with finite time, and quit this bs. AVB sounds like NASA, “oh the generation before us could put a man on the moon, but we forgot how to!” Frickin zoomers.
