this would remove mog hunts. For many in the content drought…this is what we do. I have a few hours logged in weekly into retail when not in tbc. Mog runs is why. I haven’t seen oribos or any SL land mass in weeks.
For example with TBC out…while mog tastes vary this imo is one of the better if not best mog hunting grounds.
They don’t work hard unless they make themselves. And that be BFA and legion only. Whatever buffs we get for say wrath or tbc…these are the values they need to add to Legion and BFA.
Done…They make BFA and legion need work because they want it that way. I’d happily go in and 3 shot mythic Elisande. Like I 3 shot arthas, kael, etc.
Is Shadowlands good? Not according to the forums. Haven’t seen a rank-the-xpacs thread in a while. Maybe it’s time for an update.
Delegating or relgating ‘old’ content to the Classic series might allow the devs to focus their resources and attention on making better current content. It makes more sense the longer you think about it. Of course, it would mean change and people with vested interests in the status quo don’t like change.
No because people still want to farm the mogs, loot, mounts, pets, etc.
Classic anything is just a rehashed cash grab. Why people do it makes no sense.
Good question. I’d have to be paying attention to the storyline.
In all seriousness, the Maw you have to walk in currently because I guess Blizz has decided to expand the war on mounted travel not only in the air but to the ground… and then jammed it full of creatures where you probably have to fight every 5th mob. Oh and the Jailers Eye which is a slow moving clock that picks up the more quests and mobs you kill. Annnndd on the 5th stage it kills you in about a minute. And it doesn’t clear off until 09:00 the next day. And if you happen to be in the Maw at the time it doesn’t reset…
Considering the Maw is about half of your game time once you finish the main arc because various quests will have you doing constant excursions into it…
sigh Shadowlands is (redacted). Unredacted phrase would get me suspended or banned.
Its’ awful. Like, BfA was bad, for some of its’ zones and its’ story. But Shadow is an all new low.
Like the other night I got my rep to get the cenarion circle ammo. It was nice to work to upgrade and have a use for vendors. Thilling moment for a level 62 hunter for me anyway.
I did tbc for leveling in retail. Most vendors all I used them for is using vendor all button from the elvui interface really.
In TBCC its been like woah…vendors actually are important? Cool…
My ding with retail anyway. Vendors don’t really sell anything worth a damn.
While not happy with the pet feeding to keep em happy (eats up bag slots and some money since I am not cooking at Outland levels yet) …I like the leveling and collect abilities aspect. Its like a side mini game of sorts.
Yep. As was covered in the why is legion broken threads, many of them, we know its the buff settings. at 50 ding several expacs go to easy mode. their buffs hit like clockwork at 50 and they are strong.
level 49, go see arthas solo and die to the trash 30 seconds in. Tyrion will stop his speech and go “wtf dude, I haven’t said 5 words in my great intro speech and you are dead?”
I have a few 50’s who have seen the call to shadowlands and said hell no…remove that intro. Gear worn at 50 ding the trash is mowed down nice and Arthas still drops like a rock highest setting.
Legion by design choice was made not to be like this. It is literally in the same family as all other legacy content except BFA. BFA I will assume is a special section since chromie does not give it out.
I started in bc and it was my favorite expac. But thats just it. I did it already. There is no reason for me to do it again or worse yet pay for it again.
Some expacs are just gonna be bad. Wod, cata, bfa, sl.
Its really lazy and scummy for them to rehash best expacs and make money off it. If your newer and never experienced though. Then a plus for you i guess.
Easiest way to keep most pets happy back in the day is fish. Just fish a stack and your set.
Yeah I never understood why they removed vanilla naxx when Wrath launched. They still could’ve had Naxx in Eastern plaguelands during that time as that zone was still set to vanilla. The DK starting experience is an instanced area for the most part. By Cata with the revamps I could see that as a reason to “remove it” but most of the vanilla instances make no sense anyway because of Cata. I mean how can Moira’s husband be dead but later on I can still kill him in Blackrock Depths…
I don’t know how they would handle ZG and ZA though. Since they were placed with dungeons that used the same instance portal as their raid counterparts.
They basically already did that. AKA, Cataclysm revamp. It changed all the zones to updated quests, geography, monsters. It removed the old Vanilla version of dungeons. Deadmines, Scarlet Monastery, Scholomance, etc… It removed the old versions of ZG and ZA, Naxxramas too.
And truthfully, removing that old content has been one of the biggest mistakes Blizzard has ever made in my opinion.
Outside of niche time limited rewards, no content should ever be removed. Honestly, they should add that stuff back, or at the very least bring the old dungeons and raids back via a Bronze Dragonflight NPC just inside the dungeons that could allow you to choose which version you wish to run.
Scaling is a mixed bag. I don’t inherently mind scaling while leveling, however…Scaling due to your item level increasing at cap is dumb. And the thought of having old expansion content scale to player level…hell no. that is just asinine on so many levels.
Opposite effect most likely. I think you vastly underestimate just how many people that play this game are collectors who enjoy spending time in old content getting all the things.
Not all zones got a revamp with Cata. Dustwallow marsh, Elwynn forest (post Northshire Abbey excluding Hogger quest due to different ending), Arathi highlands for alliance and silithus to name a few remain the same as their pre-cata counterparts. The latter of which had quests removed for some reason.
The changes to Scarlet Monastery and Scholomance happened in MoP. Not Cata. The only dungeons that changed at Cata launch were; Deadmines, Shadowfang Keep, Stormwind Stockades and Stratholme (all scarlet crusade mobs became undead and the final boss went from Father to Son). Wailing Caverns and Temple of Atal’Hakkar had a few changes like sections of the dungeon getting removed for a more linear progression. UBRS got changed from a 10 man raid to a 5 man dungeon for some reason in Cata. Never understood why they had a raid and a dungeon share the same instance ID. SM, Scholomance and Ragefire Chasm got their changes in MoP. With UBRS, Blackfathom Deeps, Razorfen Kraul and Razorfen Downs getting changed in WoD.
I know, but you shouldn’t use a for all statement. Nor should you try and put content that was changed into an expansion that didn’t make the changes. It is misleading
Maybe you need to clarify what you mean in your OP. When you say “should Blizz delete stuff that’s available in classic” I’m assuming you mean remove it from the game entirely so there’s no way to get to it in retail, if so
