Exactly, “forming” and “being planned”. It won’t happen right away. You need to wait, be patient, or whatever. Arena PuGs, if literally if you have a spare minute you can log in and out. Way different mentality.
eww sweaty cow smell!
I dont care, zero intention to pvp now that the chore has been removed.
I never once argued from a position of what is good for the game. I just am waiting for people to be honest about their motivations.
They want people to do the arena chore to inflate the numbers making it easier for them to get rating/titles. They want more people to be free wins because they dont think they have the skills to get it without those free wins inflating things.
I don’t need the carry, I unlocked all the gear in actual TBC.
Even good players know this is a change that is unhealthy for WoW because it will drive people away.
It always seems people with the hidden profiles post comments like this. Odd
You’re in favor of this system that is inherently bad in retail which is causing a huge PvP deflation for years now. You’re ignorant of it even though people are saying they don’t want Retail based Arena system in TBC. You don’t connect the two when people say Retail PvP is terrible but, implementing the same bad system into TBC is somehow good? Either you’re just turning your eyes on for these forums posts going in blind or you’re just an idiot.
I guess my next question is not just time, but effort as little as it may be. Logging in and out 10 minutes at a time to meet your quota just seems way too convenient imo.
Pugging literally is logging in for 10 mins, signing up or joining then 1.5-3 hours to clear the raid.
Arena required your partners to be online, otherwise you start from scratch with someone else who could leave after reset on Tuesday.
Partners is different. I’m talking more about PuGs like an insta join match making thingy.
That doesn’t exist in BC.
There is no way to get arena points from anything but arena. There is no LFG arena.
No. I just want my weapons easier on alts rather than having to have an uphill battle against boosters and boostees like I have to in shadowlands. I still get the gear in shadowlands full and well, its just a bigger pain in the butt than it should be because the toxic environment of boosting exists.
I am in favor of a system that results in one less chore for me yes.
PvP chore? How is it a chore unless you make it one. If you’re so gungho for getting BiS at all times just ward off PvP. For some of us who want to PvP a lot and want to do it for the majority of our time we don’t want to be locked out of gear. Some of us have acknowledged that we’re not good players. I haven’t played in a 2.4k rating since Cata and I doubt I could invest the same amount of time for TBC. I’m a game boomer and I don’t want to have to get sweaty just to play on the same field.
Hmm. I was told different things by diff people then. I guess it depends on context then - how big a guild ur in, the amount of time it takes to find a partner - even if random etc. Could be a valid comparison then.
You have no idea what you are talking about:
“I’m in favor of ruining an aspect of the game I don’t like because I make myself do it when I don’t have to if it exists because I have no self control” - Demoneye
So kind of like showing up to a raid for a couple hours per week and clicking the abilities in your spell book? Until we hit Sunwell, let’s not pretend like TBC raiding is some massive undertaking.
What if we changed Kara so you only get gear to drop if your raiding guild is in top 1% of fastest clear times? Because that’s what Blizz just did to PvP. I can tell you it would be just like the effect on arenas: goodbye casuals, pugs, and 90% of guilds. Enjoy your awful new meta.
Imagine clapping for a gearing route being removed from the game.
I play this game for PvP I have never been upset about PvE loot, I welcome multiple routes to gearing
Because it is a time gated system. If I decide I want it later I need to be doing it every week to be able to get it.
Yeah, apparently if that’s true, then then I’m saying doesn’t apply. I just want the effort/time ratio spent on either side to be the same. Whether it benefits one or the other - shrug.
Not really. I am concerned with my game play experience. Its a video game, why should I care otherwise?
Any solution that doesnt result in it becoming a chore for me is fine as far as I am concerned.
