My brother sold his two years ago because the rumour mill insisted they were about to announce a 4k Switch. Some time later they released the OLED version. Still no sign of that 4k one.
Meanwhile I’m just chilling with my Switch Lite. It rocks.

Fuecoco! I’m going to name mine Glen.
Unless you want the new pokemon game which is already a laugh (I mean have you seen the red version’s legendary? LOL) then no. Get a steamdeck.
The OLED screen version is gorg.
First party games look great on it. Beautiful vibrant art.
Indies run really well on it. PS3 gen games do as well.
It’s wonderful for Diablo!
Get it.
My problem is that i only really want to play Zelda, as soon as i play Zelda, i have no reason to keep hold of it. The last three Nintendo consoles i have had were the same, play Zelda and then trade them back in for store credit lol
In Australia the Switch+game+pro controller is a $700 outlay, bit pricey just for one game.
Haven’t owned a console since the original PlayStation, and first Xbox days lol. If I were to get one though, it would probably be the Switch. Because most of the arcade games I played back in the 80’s, and early 90’s were nintendo games.
Portable videogame are the way to go. Always really happy to have the switch while waiting at airports and when travelling
Only if you want to play Pokemon or Zelda.
All other games are superior on other platforms.
I was skeptical of Nintendo for the first couple of years, but I really do enjoy my Switch.
I’ll pay full price for Pokemon titles as that’s one of the main reasons I have a Switch, while I will buy the other Nintendo titles as they go on sale.
I also like being able to revisit older titles I never got to play through both on the go and on tv with the joycons, the Resident Evil series for example.
Having Mortal Kombat 11 on the go is also pretty sick.
It’s worth it to play titles such as legend of zelda breath of the wild and metroid dread.
People also say mario odyssey is good too, but it’s not my cup o’ tea.
I’ve found that across the years that Nintendo games tend to have more replay ability than the other consoles.
Yes. I play it for Nintendo-only games, and it’s fun to be able to pick it up and put it down at a moment’s notice.
Yeah I’d recommend it if you’re into the games I personally love pokemon so also ended up buying an old 3DS this year and a ton of old Pokemon games lmao was fun playing through the Ruby remake and super excited for Pokemon Scarlet later this year
Yes! I never heard a person regret buying a switch, only people regret not buying one sooner.
I love my switch. If you decide to get one, you’ll never go wrong with Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. If you enjoy Pokemon to even a small degree, you’ll probably enjoy Pokemon Legends Arceus. Smash Bros is an obvious go-to, even if you decide to stick to single player.
A lot of switch games are meant to be more family friendly with very simple controls and graphics. You can play games like Assassin’s Creed on the switch, but the console doesn’t handle them as well as an xbox or a playstation would.
I’d buy the lite one, the hand-held only one unless you are into party gaming. It is super nice for playing lying down like at night or just on the couch.
It is worth buying for the new-style Pokémon games alone, which are great fun. But there are plenty of other good games to play on it.
Only the PlayStation 2 and Sega Genesis were as good a game system, in my opinion.
Do you enjoy playing video games while you poop or during zoom meetings? If the answer is yes, then the switch is the gaming console for you!
Yes.

And Xenoblade. For me that alone makes it a must buy xD.
Never played that series.
