Should I be worried of an account closure

Have been silenced one time and now taking my second vacation from the game (1 silence 2 vacations) and I’m curious should I be worried that the next infraction will result in account closure as I don’t commit any severe offenses but I also understand past a certain amount of penalties you get the giga boot. I’m no saint and don’t want to give off the illusion that I think I am.

Yes I’m also aware I need to curb whatever I did to cause me said suspension, and of course that’ll be worked on, but alas I’m only human. Currently anxious to even bother queuing pvp again as it seems I get too invested and very rarely do something stupid to cause an account action.

The next infraction will probably not result in an account closure. The penalties generally double each time, until closure (we don’t know exactly how long that takes, though). Granted, if serious enough, any infraction could result in account closure.

Maybe it’s a good time to take a break from PvP, if that’s where you’re having troubles. Turning chat off is another, but that also creates an issue with not being able to communicate effectively with your teammates.

It’s refreshing to see that you’re acknowledging you have some issues you need to work out. Just remember it’s a game, not a life or death struggle, and just roll with it.

Yes, and while Blizzard takes no pleasure in closing your account, continued violation of the account agreements you made when the account was created, could ultimately lead to account closure.

If your infractions are happening because of PvP, I highly recommend to simply not use PvP chat.

Yell the profanity if your own room, (or more preferably under your breath).

But if you feel yourself becoming tilted playing PvP take a break for a day or two.

Or the toxic chat - it doesn’t have to be profanity to be actionable.

And as a bonus, it’s way easier, faster, and more fulfilling to say it out loud (as opposed to typing it). That is, unless you’re using voice chat.

Well you can’t be actioned from Voice chat (assuming it not Blizzard’s Voice Chat).

You can be reported and, if the GM agrees, actioned for anything that happens over a Blizzard-operated communication method.

But GMs can’t chase a report into Discord, or Tiktok, or Twitch, or Zoom, or random websites. You’d have to report there, assuming the communication is prohibited on that platform.

Move pvp chat to a different window and don’t look at it.

No one can say if it will or will not. That’s up to Blizzard, and while they have a general (internal) progression of lengths, they can escalate if need be.

I’m not saying this is your goal, but in general, if players know that the next action will not be account closure, they will interpret it as acceptable to continue breaking the rules. Account actions are your warning to correct whatever you are doing immediately, not push the limits even further.

Yes, you should. That will be your 4th infraction, and as the first 3 obviously saw no change in your behavior why would a 4th, or a 5th? As far as you are concerned you should assume your next penalty will be a closure, because apparently nothing else has deterred your behavior.

The point of our penalty system is to deter those violations, so we try to give several chances to learn from the mistakes made. While those chances are not infinite, I’d say you have some forgiveness left in reserve.

I understand that during PvP that emotions can run high, but it is during those times you may just want to refrain from comment.

Looking over the chat that was reported most of it is fairly mild. A few insults here and there, spamming a location (Obviously no one was going there to help)… Just work on avoiding the insults and you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.
