I haven’t used anything like Hekili in a very long time. It was a ret first come first serve kind of rotation helper. I now write my own rotation addons that don’t tell me exactly when to press spells, but give me an advanced view of my skills, cds and resources.
No, Blizzard should build it right into the UI to train players on how to do a successful rotation.
I’ve played for a long time and I didnt know such an addon existed. Learning every day something little.
But I don’t know, who cares? If it makes people better at the game, I think everyone wins. I just hope they ditch it after the learning period though so they will use their eyes on other stuff, unless they got their airhorns installed for that as well.
The problem with Hekili and WA packages is not the addon itself, it’s that people don’ think, they use the addon as a guide on what exact button to press next. Button says DPS, do DPS, but players should be assessing the situation, low on health? How about not pressing that DPS button and doing something else, yet they don’t they follow it to a T.
The other issue is also still a player issue, if someone signs up to a key 10 minutes after weekly reset and their addons are broken, that’s 100% on them for not checking first and making sure they are able to do what they signed up to.

Yes it should be banned, because people are botting over this addon.
It’s one of the things botters install now that the bots require.
As an altaholic, it is a great refresher for a toon I hadn’t played for a bit.
It also points out abilities I hadn’t been using, making me actually read and see what I was missing.
And I have changed keybinds in some cases, helping me to be more effective.
It is a good set of training wheels in my opinion. See no reason to ban it at all. It hurts nothing.
This is the 16th reply, and the 3rd time you’ve mentioned this. Between you apparently playing more WoW than anyone in history, and now you’re miffed, making threads calling for removing an addon people use that’s not halting your ability to do anything, I’m thinking it might be time for a break.
Or providing content for non-competitive people who play the game as a pastime rather than for bragging rights.
Never heard of these addons, to me I can either know how or learn to play a class/spec or it becomes an alt that does farming or storage for me.
I can’t play evoker worrh a flip she holds all my extra mats in her bank.
Relying on addons to play can be a mistake, not all addons are kept up to date and sometimes creators drop out.
I gotta have my Altoholic, it’s better then logging in and out of each character to see what they have for stuff.
I’ve played since BC and I still can’t get muscle memory… I doubt what I press is whats there so I’m always still looking at my cast bar or the addon. XP
Basically it shows you what’s off cooldown, and if you have a buff that’s run out.
More like it shows you exactly what should be the next ability to hit in a set rotation by what is best not just CDs
Can use it to show pot, trinket and defensive uses.
It makes suggestions. You are free to use your own judgment. Just because it shows me that I can shift into bear form, as a guardian, doesn’t mean I want to do that right now.
Right. Why I still mess it up on my enhancement or outlaw. It’ll change the suggestion right as I hit and it fumbles me lol so I use it to just learn alts or to remember how they play

Using an addon to tell you when to press buttons is detrimental to learning to make decisions. Use a central information addon like WA combined with a Luxthos import. These automatically set up for your class and spec and show you your key cooldowns and procs. Addons like Hekili or anything that just shoves a key to press in your face for some unknown-to-you reason is just letting someone else play the game for you, i.e. cheating.
It’s not optimal, so all it’s really doing is giving someone broad stroke ideas of how to play a class. Frankly, Blizzard should have implemented this into the game ages ago. Maybe there would be less 700k HP Fury Warriors doing 60k DPS on boss fights.
Frankly I may download it. The only thing I know how to play relatively well is Rsham. Would be nice to alt some and give groups better performance than doing 90-130k DPS on a 458 DH like I’ve been doing all week. Lol
