here’s the thing
the gold inflation will eventually balance itself out, all the people who gained a lot of gold through the incursions will be spending their money, sending all that gold back into the economy. Inflation is still problematic (i.e. traditional gold sinks become trivial, new players have a hard time), but its not going to destroy the game.
Titles on the other hand, will be permanent, someone still playing retail today can probably link their gladiator titles from TBC. Rolling back for titles makes sense, rolling back because some people got more gold than others does not.
I dont even think its that big of a deal now. Stuff that is brand new is expensive like always and stuff no one wants is dirt cheap. This is a perception thing not reality. And it’s mostly just people whining that they didnt benefit.
Im sitting on 200g, most of which i gained from places other than incursion. If i want more gold ill farm for it. There is no strain on me to spend it. And it doesnt bother me that others have more either. There were always people with more gold.

An exploit would be an unintentional interaction, for example you found out that for some reason Flash Bombs 1 shot every Sunken Temple raid boss.
Now you need to use a little common sense here, do you think that interaction between flash bombs and raid bosses was intended to 1 shot them?
Ofc it wasn’t, you using it to go 8/8 is an exploit.
Now let’s look at what actually happened with incursions, it is in fact INTENDED for those quests to have a currency reward.
The OVERSIGHT was the amount of currency being rewarded.
The definition of exploiting is taking full advantage of something unethically. You took full avantage of an unintended reward, which was unethical of you to do. You are an exploiter.
No amount of crying is going to make us play the game again. Enjoy your gold alone on a dead server while we all have fun playing other games. Im already mapping on PoE instead

Do you think we have inside information to know that it was unethical? Do you think we knew that the amounts for it we’re set too high?
In my example it’s pretty common sense to know that a flash bomb shouldn’t one shot a raid boss.
Again it goes back to my original example with you that you kept ignoring if you play a class and then it gets nerfed later according to you that would be unethical and you exploited.

I did a quest they designed along with the rewards they designed, im supposed to know that it was rewarding slightly too much? I could see if it was giving 100g a quest, it gave 5g with the 300% modifier they designed.
Do you have a chart that could keep us all informed and let us know when a quest is giving to low of gold, the right amount of gold or too much gold?
Storming the capitol is being compared to repeating a quest that was designed to be repeated.
