Should FAPs and rocket boots be allowed in WSG as a flag carrier. In my opinion I think this is something blizzard should have removed early on. Avoiding 70% of the map while carrying the flag and being immune to most CC effects kinda defeats the purpose of “defend your flag carrier” The use of FAPs being allowed on a flag carrier makes it so they need minimal assistance when capping the flag.
What are everyones thoughts on this?
I would rather there have been a cheap bg only version from the pvp vendors like the health and mana pots. There are counter plays around all of them, faps can be dispelled but I’m classic keeping up with the sweat lords who chugged them 24/7 was impossible. Maybe longer cool downs
I would be ok with this if the regular ones didnt work and the cooldown was like 8 minutes.
Rocket boots should straight up make you drop the flag in my opinion. the amount of speed boost it gives you vs anything else is asinine
May as well delete them from the game if you’re not going to allow their use in the 1 area people want to use them.
Leave WSG alone.
If you want to have highly regulated battlegrounds, then add RBG to TBC instead.
faps cannot be dispelled in BC. For some odd reason they buffed it in the middle of the expansion.

I wouldnt ban them, but I think they are really cheesy and i hard roll my eyes when some druid takes the flag, faps and rocket boots off the roof.
it’s pretty easy to acquire faps and acquire the boots through engineering though. It does seem a bit cheesy but if you just bring them it sure beats sitting in frost nova or roots for the entire bg.

I would tend to side on the opinion of less-is-more. FAPs are amazing, but so are those ‘jump experts’. And we all know how frustrating that is.
A person literally hits a potion keybind and they ‘win’. at least in getting out of the flag room. I have on more than one occasion been completely ready for a person to grab the flag, only to have them FAP and I can do nothing about it. That is not gameplay. But if both sides can do it, it is fair.
But if it was removed, it would improve the gameplay overall.
Don’t think they will though. No point in that, unless all the other stuff is removed as well. The jumps and what-not.
Have a priest and dispell the fap and rocket boots can explode. Why are u complaining about things that are easy to counter.

Can you still rocket boots from lumber mill to the top of the blacksmith in ab? I know they put up an invisible wall wrath but haven’t tried in tbc classic

I mean as a druid you can shapeshift out of any root or slow
objective. I dont think anyone being involved in a 5 minute wsg win due to faps and boots is having fun on either side really
This i understand both teams can do it. But that doesnt make the battleground more fun by avoiding 75% of the games CC effects by pressing one button. Like if you wanna use it in the BG fine. But i think it should result in an auto drop when carrying the flag. Druids already have the ability to remove slow and roots. If theres a pally on the team it makes it so they can sit in a form and be 40-50% faster than everyone else.
Last i checked it cannot be dispelled according to the priests that were in the bg with me
Id still want them useable just not for a flag carrier. You wanna use them in AB or AV to rush nodes cool.

Did you miss the part where i said Either side? Ive been in WSGs where the game ends so fast because theres 3-4 people with faps and boots and theres virtually no gameplay that happens
