Ok. What’s your point?
There were many game changing *things that completely shook everything up throughout the course of Classic that people just pretend didn’t happen for the sake of #NOCHANGES
Third time in three days
Lets get classic first then talk about additional content
Why arbitrarily wait just to wait
No. Nobody was ever pretending that didn’t happen. We’ve acknowledged much of that as a matter of fact. See the 20,000 threads on 8 vs 16 debuffs or the 69 threads on 1.5 AV. See all the threads on warrior threat and shield slam. Check out some threads on progressive itemization. Acknowledgements of the changes throughout vanilla are all over the fricken place.
But the ambiguity of vanilla between 1.1 and 1.12 does not extend the possibilities of it beyond 1.12. Classic is still bound to what existed between patches 1.1 and 1.12.
No changes has always meant that; staying within the bounds of vanilla. That’s it.
Because we do not have a game yet…
But I don’t want anything that wasn’t going to be in Classic. The only stuff I ask for would’ve been there if they weren’t working on TBC and didn’t plan on it.
I understand that. But what you’re talking about is not Classic. What Blizzard had planned is not a part of the vanilla experience. The purpose of Classic is meant to deliver the vanilla experience.
And I’m not against that either. I just don’t want the game to die and become unpopular again like retail.
I would cancel my Classic sub in a heartbeat if they forced me to upgrade to TBC, and TBC was my favorite expansion.
Wow that’s not what I was expecting to hear lmao, but a cool stance nonetheless. I like it and agree honestly

Same here. I plan on playing for many years. But a dwindling population and dead servers are two different things. If Blizzard can maintain healthy server population a by eventually merging servers as needed I’m ok with that solution.
With that solution it would require the total population to drop below 10,000 in a region before it becomes an issue. I don’t see that happening for decades.
Probably true for at least a decade to reach that low, but I don’t want it to go below even 1 mil.
but I don’t want it to go below even 1 mil.
It could drop below 1 million in the first year. So I’m not sure that’s realistic.
But I’m curious, why do you feel a population of 1 million or more would have a positive impact on you as an individual vs a population of say 100,000?
Games feel better when people talk about them in public, especially a good game. Hollow garbage like Fortnite being the most popular sucks for everyone because they flock like idiots without knowing any better.

I suppose I didn’t consider that. I’ve had more of an internal perspective and am personally only concerned with the community within the game itself rather than the community outside the game. I have my social life and my WoW life and I keep them separate.
I will say though. If Blizzard does give in with Classic and introduces new content, which they shouldn’t, but if they do they need to stick to one rule:
Never ever introduce new gear beyond Naxxramas item levels!
Never ever introduce new gear beyond Naxxramas item levels!
And thats exactly what I want
Naxxramas should forever be the ultimate content for Classic. Hyjal wouldn’t need a raid, Hellfire Penninsula (lvl 54-60 original quest zone concept) could have a 10 man raid as a 2nd UBRS, Karazhan could be a 10 or 20 man side raid with items comparable to AQ20 or ZG, ETC.
And thats exactly what I want
Well at least we can agree on that.
Also, I will force a strong community on my server and will enjoy having lots of in-game friends in the community. Some of my best friends now I met through wow within the last 14 years.
Should Classic be replaced by TBC, you ask?
Hell. No.
