The game slowly became something else, something not as fun in TBC. Vanilla was the only good game. Every single expension afterward, starting with flying mount im TBC, made this game less fun and less social. I hope they keep it Vanilla and find something else to make it new after naxx.
Make separate servers you can copy your character over to, stop trying to change classic already. Once classic is up and going, then ask for a SEPARATE TBC server.
Replaced? Probably not, but I would be giddy if they made a way to play TBC again! I don’t know if that would be a separate game that’s vanilla into TBC or something else though.
Not really as it would no longer be classic wow.
If you’re suggesting we recycle the entire WoW release to have the expansions as a progression?
It may be an idea but it will be facilitated by the demand.
The evidence reflects that there is a community and it is substantial enough for classic to exist.
Perhaps the same may be true for the other expansions down the road but it will be based on the same evidence of supply and demand in that respect.
No, classic will be maintained as a museum piece one way or the other, and releasing other expansions would be a huge mistake in so many fronts and solves nothing because you’re back to square one at the end of them, if not worse.
Best case scenario we get classic+ in new realms after naxx or something like it, after OSRS success I’d be surprised if this doesn’t happens.
Doubtful. They’ll hopefully make fresh BC and Wrath servers where you make a new dude on like a new server. I don’t see them ever advancing the server progressively but I’d be fine with them if they did.
Absolutely not. Run them simultaneously, disconnected as much as WOW Classic is from Retail, sure. But WOW Classic should always be available as WOW Classic for those who want it.
I very much want TBC Classic, but I want it to be a choice. When I log into my account that I’m going to have to pay for, I want to be able to choose between WOW Classic and TBC Classic - two games for the price of one. Retail doesn’t count because I won’t touch it.
