There’s a 12% chance that if they recycle the whole WoW timeline, that they’ll actually get it right this time
I would rather the servers be separated, maybe you could transfer or copy your 60 to the BC server, but yeah it shouldn’t overwrite the classic.
I would love a BC server personally but I wouldn’t expect it for another 2 years at the least.
I’d want to see what sort of playerbase we get. If we aren’t exactly huge, I’m, not sure we want to dilute a small pool.
If there’s millions of us, and millions for an extended period, then maybe we can split and have BC servers as well.
Yeah I can agree with that, i’m expecting it to at least have a decent level of active players. It’s hard to see where it’s going to go after the release hype dies down.
It’s kind of why I say to give it a good 2 years or so and see where the population is. I really don’t expect anything past classic for awhile though.
The population issue makes me wonder about servers too, hopefully Blizzard doesn’t make the mistake of creating too many servers.
In a word? No.
As a museum piece, most of TBC still stands - there was very little other than the experience of TBC as the most ‘recent’ expansion that’s been removed or altered. The quests and characters are still in those areas, etc.
If you change TBC areas and content as Cataclysm had done to Vanilla, then yes, I’d be all for a TBC server.
But as it stands, I don’t think there’s enough alteration to necessitate any expansion-based “Classic” style realms.
No TBC should not replace classic it should coexists next to one another. Classic lovers get to play classic. TBC lovers get to play TBC servers.
I personally want them to do a full classic run then vote things in like Old School Runescape does. The community votes yes or no on things. As long as cash shop and LFR aren’t ever allowed to be voted on (doubt either would make it anyways), it would show an honest system. I’d love to see things like the original concept for Hyjal and the Emerald Dream, as well as the original Outlands that was just Hellfire Penninsula (scrapped lvl 58-60 quest zone) be added to classic over time. Karazhan too.
They could add raids with these zones. I’d personally be in favor of them having the same level of Naxxramas or worse stat wise (maybe more hybrid DPS tier sets?). Maybe some 10 man dungeons or 20 man side raids like AQ20 and UBRS.
No
Yes
Correct
No, a lot of people want to stay on Classic WoW, that’s why where in this situation in the first place, why would we want to start the cycle again just to quit again in the future?
It would be much better if they just added new realms for BC and Wrath but keep Classic WoW on its own realms.
I think it would be cool if blizzard made a instance after Naxxaramas for wow vanilla.
That destroys the whole concept of Classic. The static nature of Classic after phase 6 is one huge thing that makes it truly unique and different from retail.
It’s there. It’ll be there if you go away and come back. You can always pick up where you left off. That’s what we want. Retail will never offer that.
Replaced, no. If it comes to a point where TBC-locked realms are a thing, people who want to stay in Classic forever should be able to stay there.
Nah. There’s nothing to be voted on. And people who just want it to stay as it is shouldn’t have to keep defending that.
Give us vanilla. Progress to phase 6 and never touch it again. If you accomplish all you want in the game then move on with your life and let others enjoy it.
Is this bait?
The only things I want added are things that WERE GOING TO BE in Classic but they ran out of time and released TBC. I do NOT want them to add new things that they or Activision come up with. I.E. adding in Hyjal, NOT adding in Flying Mounts.
Yes, give us medivhs tower and the emerald dream… BUT make them on a classic + server… do not touch classic.
They would have to be completely ignorant iq 20 dumb to not run classic into TBC.
Always
They are either just looking for attention or are actually that daft.
I’m not sure how I’d feel on having two separate servers but it’s not an unwelcome compromise.
I don’t think they will to be honest, or if they did not past Wrath.
“Hey J, everyone keeps saying they want TBC now?”
“See. I said they didn’t want Vanilla, and now they don’t.”
I really wish people would stop trying to decide where an unreleased product will go before that product is released. We have zero proof that Classic will be a success to the point where Blizzard will even listen to us on these sorts of things again.
We have to prove that we were right about Classic, before we can start even attempting to guide any new development.
How about this… sell classic + as an expansion to classic… but if you choose to not purchase it you do not physically see or interact with any of the people who have their account upgraded. Stats will not be altered, classes will not be altered, nothing will be altered besides the addition of new content, a zone and a raid, some quests.
