I think it would be cool to see lawful/chaotic evil characters in WoW. For example: a Lawful Evil Human Paladin. What do you guys think?

No.
If the game was being recreated from scratch, yes. But as it is now? No. Alignments don’t really serve a purpose, we don’t make choices in quests or dialogue, our actions don’t affect the world (we always follow the same story beats), so what’s the point?
If WoW was recreated with more RPG elements, with choices affecting stories, and more factions to join or go to war with, then yes. But WoW’s never had that and it’s way to late to add it.

What would be the purpose? Roleplaying? You can just download TotalRP and add it as part of your character’s profile. Very little in the game’s story is impacted by our character’s decision… heck, we rarely even GET to make decisions that have any story relevance. The few that we do you’ll, at most, get a different line of dialogue or flavor text.

Excuse, I’m chaotic neutral.
Something like TRP should be baseline for the game. Character sheets are a great way for people to feel connected to their characters and the world.
For the topic I would like to see some basic alignments with in the factions. Given how we Blizzard is making things less faction specific it would be nice for people to have the choice to be “True” Alliance/Horde or “Give peace a chance” Alliance/Horde. With quests that can give new life to the classic areas.
We have them. They’re the scarlet crusade. Alignments already exist, they’re just not explicitly stated.

You can have your character be whatever alignment you want via head canon or rping. I rp this character as chaotic good. I even state it in my trp3 profile. I do that with all of my characters.
If Blizz did add alignments, they’d need to recreate the game to a degree I think since WoW wasn’t built with that mechanic in mind. It have to serve a functional purpose as opposed to just being there.
Eh I already just make up lil stories with Rosenivy. I know he’s Lawful Evil. I ain’t gotta put it in game.

Why not just Role Play as your alignment? If you want to see more menu descriptions I think there’s a few addons for that.

I’d some sort of good/evil thing should exist if this were a RPG but it’s not. I welcome more RPG mechanics and a return to a RPG feel but good/evil wouldn’t really ever have a home in WoW or any other MMORPG where there is only one end to a quest chain.
You can RP any alignment you would like.

As long as you have Charisma alignment, I’m good with it.
What does that even mean? They’re a villain but they play by the rules? What?
