Should alignments be introduced in WoW?

Pretty much. Lawful Evil characters are generally represented as tyrants and dictators who rely on oppressive rules of law to keep themselves and their allies in power. They are less prone to random acts of violence or acting without reason like Neutral Evil and Chaotic Evil villains do. “Ruling with an iron fist” is kind of the motto associated with Lawful Evil.

So like in SWTOR when I made my Sith light side?

It’s been a long time since I played SWTOR, but I think Light-side choices as a Sith kind of do turn out that way.

Sez you! I’ll have you know, I’m all sweetness and light.

Unless I’m not.

I dunno how much of a value add this would be to WoW. In games like D&D alignment can cut you out of a large part of content at the DM’s discretion. You may not be able to use certain items based on your alignment, and some spells have extra effects based on alignment. I don’t think Blizzard is going to make it so characters cannot progress a storyline because they need to have at least a Good alignment to do it.

This is something that you can just have a headcanon about. Furthermore there’s already an addon for this. It’s called TRP3, and it allows you to add things like alignment to your character’s information sheet.
