It’s called the internet “grow up”
I can’t tell if you’re talking about Lore or the players.
It’s a California video game company, not a law firm. You’re lucky they don’t show up in pajamas doing Q&A while making figure-eights on their Razor scooters.
C’mon big boy, show them guns.
You are taking a lot of liberties with that tweet, unless we’re talking about different tweets.
What I got from the tweet was, “if you complain about wanting people to be fired, it’s weird that you’re mad at Activision Blizzard when people get fired afterwards. If you really didn’t want them to be fired, don’t wait until after they’re fired to voice your support/opposition/etc.”
It’s like you’re mad at him for your own overactive imagination.
I’m off to listen to music and drink… stay friendly, peeps
Link?
Because no one has been rude in this thread.
That is actually literally not what he said.
I’m paraphrasing with facts, sorry I was snarky
If you’re saying those calls for him to be fired are “just the internet”, there’s no reason to take them seriously, correct? So why were people upset when Lore wasn’t one of the people laid off? Same with Ion.
Either Blizzard should take calls to fire people as serious criticism or they shouldn’t. You can’t have it both ways.
Probably the best thing for this thread is
I didn’t say any had until you kept trying to insist so. You can scroll through the thread and actually read the comments without bias to see it doe.
No one has been rude in this thread. The discussion has been civil.
The playerbase is not a monolith, that type of rhetoric has become tiresome and it is one of the reasons why I have decided to unsubscribe. Lore should be using his private Twitter account to discuss things outside of Blizzard Entertainment and World of Warcraft, not for taking shots at the fans. I recognize that some people are quite rude, but welcome to working with the public! When I worked in retail I was cursed at and had things thrown at me, but I kept my composure and never once criticized customers publicly, it’s a bad look and this company should know better. Anyhow, I hope that everyone has fun with their negativity and bickering , I don’t want to be exposed to this nonsense anymore. Good luck.

One of the reasons you are unsub’ing is because of the rhetoric of calling out a caustic playerbase?
You do you man. Good luck playing any online game.
This is easily the worst negativity I have ever seen in my 20+ years of gaming. I also knew that upon posting my comment that I would be immediately attacked with a negative post, that’s nothing new around here is it? You get to a point after awhile where you decide that you don’t want to hear and feel it anymore, this is way out of control and I do not want to be associated with this. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who feels this way. What a cesspool.
Not sure if you’ve noticed but this is far and way the worst negativity I have ever seen in my 20+ years of gaming. I attacked you with a negative post?
Can you specifically point out where I made an attacking statement with negativity?
Downplaying my comment to make it seem as though I’m being unreasonable for not wanting to put up with this environment any longer.

I didn’t plan on downplaying anything. I was clarifying your statement. My “rhetoric” was calling out what I feel is a caustic playerbase. You stated my “rhetoric” is a factor in making you quit. So I asked a question for clarification to make sure I was on the same page.
If merely “downplaying” something you said, you see as being attacked with negativity…
Good luck.
When you say “playerbase” you’re insulting myself and other innocent subscribers who had nothing to do with this nonsense. But to be fair, you’re not the only one who does that, I hear it so often that it has begun affecting my mental health. Imagine feeling demoralized over a video game? Clearly things shouldn’t be this way, I’m not paying any company to make me feel depressed when I log into the game, even if they are not entirely to blame for it.
For everyone that complains about what was said, I want all your contact details so I can spam you at all hours of everyday and see how long it takes before you snap
If you’ll pay me what he’s getting paid, I’ll take you up on that offer. I’ve worked customer service for an airline during blizzards with airport shutdowns during the big holidays which stranded tens of thousands of people at a time; so with airlines no longer paying for rental cars and hotels, they were having to sleep on the floor of the terminals while missing the holiday that they had planned. Of course it was after hours, too, so they had nothing to eat either.
And I’ve worked through hurricanes. Do you know how angry people get when they think that they’re going on a lifetime, week-long cruise and the airport is closed, so they don’t make it to their departure port in time - which cancels their entire trip? And they realize it and take it out on me that they didn’t plan to get there a couple days ahead so that if their flights were canceled or delayed, that they could drive to the port instead? And they don’t have trip insurance, so all of the money they spent on everything but airline tickets just poofed into thin air?
And 9-11.
And when children were left alone at the airport because their connecting flight was canceled and the parents put them on the last flight out of the night, so there was no other airline to put them on to get them to their destination. (See above where airlines don’t give hotel rooms, rentals, or food. Fun times.)
And all the regular irate passenger stuff that happens when flights are canceled, delayed, diverted, and bags are lost. (Which is a lot.)
In all of those things, I never treated any of my customers the way that the devs and cms have been at times over the last 2 1/2 expansions. The worst I ever did was to quietly tell a man to stop yelling at me and cursing me or I’d end the call. I gave him 3 more chances - when our instructions were that we only had to give 1 more after we initially warned a person - and then I ended the call by wishing him a nice night.
So no… none of the Blizzard employees have to be condescending, belittling, rude, sarcastic, or mocking. They truly don’t. If someone is threatening, then report it to the proper authorities. Otherwise, do your job or find a job more suited to your personality, imo.
Edited to add that I can be a jerk on the forums because it isn’t my job to be nice here. When I’m paid to be nice, I can be very good at it.
Look up, bud. I’ve been in this thread.
The game is so bad even they cant find better CM that actually do their job.
FFXIV game director interact with their playerbase just fine, and he probably didnt get extra $ from it.
