Not an original post but I don’t care, and I want Blizz to see it again anyway.
2 weeks is so short for pre-patch and really wastes a cool opportunity to raid Naxx with opposing faction’s classes, with our new TBC mains, and new talents/abilities/meta. It seems dumb to ask a giant company to shift their plans that they announced to everyone already, but I wish they could reconsider, this really sucks.
They aren’t going to push back launch at this point. It’s an international company and game. The small vocal forum and reddit posters are not going to over rule the world when it comes to something like this.
Sure, changing a function or feature they will…but a release date that drives their stocks etc;? Not going to happen.
I know… it just sucks how poorly Blizzard is handling everything. I don’t think they’ve been this egregiously bad before, and that says a lot given their history.
I think a shorter prepatch makes more sense than a longer one. They’re already allowing people to level their goats and belfs early. That wasn’t in TBC. NO one is complaining about that.

You wanna know what’s more fun than raiding Naxx with a shaman or pally, going to outlands with a pally or shaman.
I agree, pre-patch is likely one of the few times we could really have some unknown when it comes to classic and can really be a fun time.

the people making the decisions have taken the game to its lower sub count ever.
Half of retail players have quit before the first systemlands patch.
Whats more we are clearly in the alpha…
the game is not ready to ship.
So shipping it in 9 days or so…
will actually then be beta…
Where we all get to pay to beta test the game…

I wish it were shorter. You should consider yourself lucky you’re getting belfs early at all. They didn’t have to do that. It wasn’t like that in 2007.
They’ve been like this for years. It’s just now you’re seeing it because it’s finally not what you want. Personally, I have no issues with anything except probably the clone price. 35$ per toon is a bit much. I have no plans to ever play classic era again so it doesn’t matter to me though.
They didn’t handle it poorly at all. You’re misremembering everything they said. It’s all in their support articles. That or you assumed you knew what they meant and that’s no one’s fault but your own.

the original prepatch was only one week, back then we had to wait for the new races and class combo too. Is this not correct? Honestly I can’t remember.
They had to delay tbc back then. That’s why it was longer.
Aha, thanks, I can’t remember much of the event at all but I do have the FoS so I must have done it.
The pre expansion event was a week, prepatch was just over 40 days
I mean, you steal plans from the horde and kill like 10 demons coming through the portal before it opens and they give you a tabard. That’s it.
Yeah, I think I misunderstood from the way the article was written.
At least we also get two new races and “new” classes for our factions to play with this time around. The older pre-events were kind of spartan.

Also got it mixed up in there with similar events, the end of vanilla beta also had lots of demons…
I found the quest. It was 6 demons.
Ignore the patch number. There’s another quest of the same name in WotLK.
